When Lala Kent first strutted her bad attitude and, even worse tan into SUR, she came off as wild. It made her a great counterpoint to the stuck-up Stassi Schroder. On Vanderpump Rules, Lala has mastered the art of being a paradox and the undisputed master of contradictions. Season 10 showed the mother of one calling Rachel Leviss a mistress, even though for years she vehemently denied her role as one.
The reunion showed Lala as the self-appointed savior against bullying. Yet she was unfazed as she doled out insults and belittled her co-stars. Perhaps the best part of Lala is that she’ll bosom buddies with someone one day, only to toss them under the bus the next day without a second thought. This could explain why she may be turning on her friends who are receiving more attention.
You gotta give credit when credit is due—Lala knows how to grab the attention of Vanderpump Rules followers. After revealing in Season 4 that she was the b*tch, it was obvious Lala played to win. Even though it took a while to wrap our heads around not calling her Lauren, the hostess grew on us, especially when she was bullied by the mean girls. She always has a bit of a Pick Me Girl vibe, but in recent months, she really has gone over the top.
It’s a Full Moon
Lala’s recent post was a bit racier than usual. It showed a perfectly naked Lala enjoying an outdoor shower with her bum out for all to see. “Jealous of what? Your ugly leather pants?,” the caption read.
I mean, hell, if you got it, flaunt it because I’m currently in my hibernation phase. Lala has never been one to shy away from bearing it all, especially when she was younger. She loved skinny dipping in Hawaii and going topless in Big Bear, which only added to her free spirit ways. But this particular photo is feeling a little phony, giving trying-too-hard vibes.
Lala Could Be Jealous
As her new holiday song, Christmas Slay states, “I hope old St. Nick don’t catch me acting like a ho ho ho,” yet her photos come across as thirsty, making us think she may need a tall glass of ice-cold water.
However, Lala may just be having an internal battle with the green-eyed monster. Since Scandoval, her friend, Ariana Madix, has been getting a lot of attention. The Season 11 trailer has shown Lala noting that she has never seen someone who has been cheated on be treated like “a god,” and honestly, she has a point.
Ariana Has Options
Since March, Ariana has been handed golden ticket after golden ticket. The former SUR bartender has landed multiple sponsorships, including BIC and Lays, competed on Dancing With The Stars, and will soon be making her Broadway debut as Roxy Heart in Chicago.
Ariana has made money hand over fist, and it makes sense that her co-stars would become a little resentful. For some reason, viewers have made Ariana into an idol when, in all honesty, she was just cheated on. Yes, the betrayal sucks, but she looks to be recovering quite well and is maybe even better off than she was before.
Lala Is on Damage Control
In a quick turn of events in hopes of distracting Vanderpump Rules fans, Lala spoke with Page Six about her trailer comment that was taken out of context. Lala made it clear she had no hard feelings, saying she was “so happy” to see her friend thrive after such heartbreak. Maybe Lala should tell that to her face because she still looks pretty annoyed.
However, it makes sense if Lala is looking to rebrand. When fans first met her, she was a sugar baby who loved being given cars and expensive purses. Season 10 showed Lala fighting for her daughter and sanity as she dealt with the fallout of her breakup. I get that Lala may want to have a change of perception, a way to make her life a bit easier, too. And who can blame her, really? She went from a free-wheeling, topless young adult to a single mother overnight. I’d be a bit jealous, too.
