You have to love Lisa Vanderpump, who, even in the holiday season, is busting her butt to promote yet another show about her employees, aptly entitled Vanderpump Villa. Since 2013, Lisa has been gracing our screens with motherly advice, slick silk tops, and a unique ability to make us interested in goat cheese balls. While the latter doesn’t sound appetizing, fans always had an appetite for the drama that Vanderpump Rules served, so fingers are crossed for Lisa Vanderpump’s new show Vanderpump Villa.
Meet the Cast
For those who can’t just pop over to France for a croissant, Lisa’s got you covered. She placed cameras around a villa to track her French Chateau staff. The newbies are hot and bound to find themselves mixed up in all kinds of trouble. Just an observation, but I think most of the cast is in their late 20s to mid-30s. This could be a calculated move by Lisa to hopefully not have to deal with high school escapades as she does in VPR.
Thanks to Hulu, fans will soon be able to watch how Lisa vacays at her luxury home. Each of the 12 new reality TV stars was handpicked for the role by the godmother of Bravo. The 12 lucky winners were needed for specific positions, including hospitality, executive chefs, mixologists, and housekeepers. According to People, all the cast members experts in their respective fields.
The fun new twist is that each member of staff works and lives on the site. The list of cast members includes;
Gabriella Sanon – Events Coordinator
Stephen Alsvig – Events Coordinator
Andre Mitchell – Mixologist
Telly Hall -Mixologist
Eric Funderwhite -Manager
Marciano Brunette -Lead Server
Hannah Fouch – Server
Priscila Ferrari -Server
Grace Cottrell – Housekeeper
Anthony Bar – Executive Chef
Caroline Byl – Sous Chef
The Premise Is a Recipe for Success
Not surprisingly, Lisa isn’t about to mess with a plan that works. Her first creation, Vanderpump Rules, has produced 11 seasons, so there is no reason to doubt that Vanderpump Villa wouldn’t succeed as well. The series is already promising viewers “decadence and debauchery.” The staff will be expected to fulfill their professional duties, not cross any inappropriate lines, and keep the client happy no matter what they ask for.
It seems the cast members all come from the good ‘ol US of A, including Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Miami, Atalanta, Dallas, New York, and St. Augustine. I would have thrown in a few Europeans for extra measure, but okay, Mrs. LVP. It will no doubt be interesting to see how a bunch of Americans do working with clients who are most likely well-traveled and well-versed in exactly how they like things.
Lisa Promoted Vanderpump Villa
During the finale of Dancing With The Stars, Lisa was given a bit of air time to promote her new show, which makes sense since The Walt Disney Company owns both Hulu and ABC. During the interview, Lisa noted, “We just came back from filming in the South of France in a chateau, living with 12 of my staff and guests” and shared that there were “Chateau shenanigans.” Honestly, this could mean anything, but my money is on multiple breakups and makeups.
Not surprisingly, Lisa is the executive producer of Vanderpump Villa. The show is also produced by Bunim/Murray, who was also behind The Real World, so fans are in for a good time. Lisa went on to say that the show will be “off the hook,” so clearly, it can’t be missed.
Premiere Date
Hulu has yet to reveal a premiere date for Vanderpump Villa, but fans can expect to see the show in the New Year. Lisa is very much experimenting with Chateau Rosabelle in the first season as she has decided to make it a pop-up experience.
The Beverly Hills resident is looking to see if she can make the villa a permanent venture. This means that each staff member is under the microscope and expected to perform to the best of their ability. If they disappoint, they will asked to leave. As they say, France is calling, and you won’t want to miss the season premiere of Vanderpump Villa. Fingers crossed, some OG VPR staff pops up, too!
