I know we talk a lot of smack about Teddi Mellencamp, but this is not going to be one of those times. While Teddi might be absent from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, she’s still in the mix by maintaining a friendship with Kyle Richards. She’s also co-host of a successful little podcast by the name of Two Ts in a Pod with Tamra Judge.
Teddi isn’t one of the most beloved former Real Housewives, despite Lisa Rinna’s hot take. That said, she does have fans and she does a good job of keeping those fans informed. One thing she shares is her cancer diagnosis. Recently she had the unfortunate task of revealing a not-so-great update on her journey.
Keep on keeping on …
On Teddi’s Instagram Story, she told followers about a new treatment that apparently did not work out for her. “I just had a big ol’ cry,” she began. “I just got the call from my doctor that the immunotherapy did not work, it was not successful.”
As you might know, Teddi has skin cancer on her back. In September, Teddi disclosed she was recently diagnosed with her thirteenth melanoma in a year. The saga began in October 2022 when her docs caught stage 2 cancer.
In an effort to wipe it out, Teddi has been using an immunotherapy cream in accordance with her treatment plan. Since the results weren’t what she wanted, Teddi is reviewing other options.
“So I have two different options. I can either do a big skin graft of my stomach or my arm but it’s a very long recovery or I can go in and get another wide excision surgery on December 26. And they’ll have a plastic surgeon come in too because it’s such a big area and then just keep getting my checks every three months,” Teddi added.
“So that’s where we are. Get your skin checked folks.”
This sucks and it’s scary and it’s with every hope Teddi’s next procedure is successful. Listen to this woman and get your skin checked, folks.
