Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky have been through a lot this year. Fans are aware of this. It seems any time one of them so much as breathes conspicuously, the media is all over it.
Despite all their ups and downs this year, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars assured fans that family would always come first. No matter where the relationship ended up, they agreed that the kids would be their first priority.
As such, Kyle and Mauricio told fans more than once that they would be spending the holidays together. However, based on their recent Instagram activity, fans have questioned how true those assurances were.
Kyle’s in Mexico, Mauricio’s on the slopes
On December 19, Kyle shared a picture on Instagram from Punta De Mita in the Mexican state of Nayarit. The post’s caption read, “Sometimes we just need to escape reality for a bit.” Interestingly, PEOPLE initially reported that comments on the post were turned off. They have since been turned on, but only in a limited capacity.
Based on the sentiments in the comments that were available, it wasn’t difficult to understand why they would’ve been turned off to begin with. Many criticized Kyle, questioning why she’d need an escape given her general life of luxury. Still, Kyle’s fans showed up in full force, with one reminding other IG users that “EVERYONE has their breaking point, and needs solace.”
Mauricio meanwhile seemed to be getting an escape in his own right, with an Instagram Stories update that showed him hitting the slopes with singer Anitta and fellow Dancing with the Stars competitor Lele Pons (careful Lele, the fans will start dating rumors about you and Mo). Here’s hoping Kyle and Mauricio are feeling some peace in their time apart.
