2023 has been a rough year for Kyle Richards, and it appears it may end on a sour note. Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fans are well aware of Kyle’s marital struggles with Mauricio Umansky this year. The drama surrounding her marriage (whether authentic or fabricated) has taken an apparent toll on Kyle.
That toll manifested in her crying on stage at BravoCon. However, now that 2023 is coming to a close, fan sympathy for Kyle is diminishing. For those not in the loop, Kyle took a lot of heat recently for suggesting that Sutton Stracke had an eating disorder and a drinking problem.
As a result, fans questioned Kyle’s relationship with alcohol and wondered if she was perhaps projecting. Nevertheless, even in the face of so much criticism, there are still plenty of Kyle supporters out there, and the RHOBH star saw fit to thank them.
Kyle is happy fans are “inspired” by her choices outside of her marriage
In the week leading up to Christmas Eve, Kyle posted a message to fans on her Instagram story. The story was archived by @byewighellodrama on IG. Kyle wrote, “I wanted to thank you all for your messages. In the 13 years of being on RHOBH I have never felt so much love & support.”
She continued, “I wish I could respond to each and every one of you, but I do want you to know that I am reading your messages and I want to take you for taking the time to share your insight, support and wisdom with me. I appreciate it more than you know.” In the last portion of her message, she switched gears slightly.
Kyle took a brief moment to comment on her recent sobriety. “It also makes me happy to know that many of you feel inspired by my choice not to drink alcohol and in sharing that with me you inspire me to stay on my path. Sending love to you all.” It’s not hard to imagine that last comment came in response to Kyle’s recent alcohol-related controversies.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills returns Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at 8/7c on Bravo.
