Well, the House of Villains finale has finally arrived, and the outcome sums up everything this show has been for the last 10 episodes: pure chaos. The crew from Lisa Vanderpump’s SUR and Flavor Flav’s love shack mansion (as well as other reality TV titans) were tucked away in what we call The Villain’s Lair for nearly 20 days — competing in a mixture of physical, social, and mental challenges that would leave only one standing, eventually naming them the Ultimate Supervillain. The episode began with the remaining cast members: Johnny Bananas, Shake, Anfisa, Fairplay, and Tanisha, and it seemed the ending was written in plain sight. However, the cast and fans know anything can happen on these kinds of shows — this program is proof. Here’s everything that went down during House of Villains Episode 10: “Heavy Is the Head That Wears the Crown.”

Don’t call it a comeback; call it a takeover. Based on her beef with veteran reality icons like Omarosa and New York, and her ability to float to the end unscathed, there’s no way anybody thought Bad Girls Club alum Tanisha would be taking home the $200,000 grand prize. But here we are.

The “I ain’t get no sleep ’cause of y’all” originator survived the house’s last Hit List nomination ceremony after Bananas beasted through the rest of the competition at the show’s final Battle Royale challenge — “The Last Supper.” It involved Below Deck’s chef, Ben Robinson, cooking up some interesting dishes, including testicles, boiled eggs, eyeballs, spicy chicken wings, and brains, which all equaled a different dollar amount. The cast’s job was to order a meal that totaled $200. Whoever finished first could choose who would accompany them to the final banishment ceremony.

Also, during this process, host Joel McHale introduced a surprising twist that would alter the end of the game. Out of nowhere, players like Jax, Corinne, Omarosa, and New York returned, ready to wreak havoc on the house while deciding who they felt deserved the pot of gold. Joel said Bobby couldn’t be found, so he’s out of this.

Shake rubbed the entire house the wrong way from the moment Joel said go. To think he even had a chance of garnering votes from players he belittled, screamed at, and called thirsty on national television would be actually insane. However, in the end, Shake respected Johnny’s decision and still gave him his vote in the end.

For Fairplay to be Survivor’s “most memorable villain,” he sure didn’t do much to keep me entertained this season. When he cast his vote for Bananas to win, he shouted at the remaining players, telling them this is the “House of Villains,” not The Brady Bunch, and he was voting for the person who played to win.

Anfisa didn’t say or do much in the house. So, viewers knew there wasn’t any chance she’d walk away a winner. But even though she didn’t win, Anfisa had all the power, being the last person eliminated and the tie-breaking vote between Tanisha and Bananas. “Bananas, we have had a lot of fun moments,” Anfisa said. “I hope I will never hear any of your dumb jokes again. Tanisha, my vote is for you.”

Will there be a House of Villains Season 2?

It’s unclear whether the network will bring House of Villains back for a second season. However, considering fan reaction and the simple fact this is the network’s most-watched show of the 2020s, a second go around the block only seems fitting. If they do return, Joel has a few ideas

“My idea if we get to Season 2 is to just bring the same cast back. Why not? They bring the same cast back for all scripted shows. Why not for unscripted?”

That wraps up our recap for this week’s House of Villains – and Season 1 overall! And in case you missed any, catch up on our past recaps while you’re at it.
