The world of Bravo was shaken when Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky revealed they were navigating a separation. While they seemed keen not to close the door on their marriage, the writing was on the wall. Add to that media speculation surrounding supposed infidelity, and you’ve got one huge pressure cooker. It’d be hard for anyone to deal with.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fans have seen the highs of Kyle and Mo’s marriage on the show for 12 seasons. In the current episodes of Season 13, however, the strains are clear. Kyle’s got a new close confidant in the form of Morgan Wade, and Mauricio isn’t even noticing new tattoos on his wife’s body.
Now, in a new interview with Us Weekly, Kyle is baring all. And after these comments, hearing that Kyle and Mauricio have split for good in 2024 wouldn’t be a huge shock at all…
Kyle and Mauricio still “love each other,” but the future is uncertain
“In a lot of ways, I feel happy,” Kyle said of her current relationship status. “But I’m also still struggling because it’s all new to me. I’ve been married my whole life.” It is true that 27 years of marriage can feel like a lifetime. And don’t forget, Kyle was married before Mauricio to Guraish Aldjufrie, between 1988-1992.
“We still live in the same house and we spent [the holidays] together,” she further explained. “I have no idea how long we’ll be like that, but we are trying to be as normal as possible in a very un-normal situation.” Those aren’t exactly the words of a woman who has the utmost faith in her marriage woes disappearing, and everything turning out for the best.
Kyle later confirmed that the two were attending therapy. “We both want to see each other happy,” she said. “I don’t know what the future looks like. That’s the hardest part because the unknown is scary.” If Kyle and Mauricio are no longer finding their happiness with each other, then perhaps it is best to move on.
