There are times when social media is not your friend, and doubling-down on questionable comments is ill-advised. Dorit Kemsley is seemingly struggling with critiques directed at her by co-star Garcelle Beauvais during the December 20 episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
The mother-of-two callously used the word “attack” to describe a conversation she had with Garcelle in which the Haitian-American actress challenged her reasons for bringing up a make-out session Sutton Stracke had with one of her drivers. The Going To Bed With Garcelle podcast host clapped back to say that Dorit should check her “bubble” of privilege.
RHOBH fans were curious to see how Dorit would react in real time. But rather than acknowledging her poor choice of words and warped perception of what happened, the mother of two doubled-down via social media.
PK mimics Dorit’s “tone-deaf” response
In preparation for the backlash, Dorit posted to Instagram late last week. She shared a “holiday throwback” photo of her husband, PK Kemsley, and their children, nine-year-old Jagger, and seven-year old Phoenix.
“The only bubble I live in is a love bubble. Sending much love to everyone for a happy and joyous holiday season,” Dorit captioned the family picture. The only “love bubble” we want to hear about is Teresa Giudice’s – and even that grew tiresome.
Clearly, this was meant to make a statement that Dorit had no misgivings about her use of the word “attack.” Many followers called her out for the “tone deaf” nature of the post. And that’s when PK jumped into the ring to defend his wife.
“The people that broke into your house attacked you. That’s an attack. Your conversation with Garcelle was not an attack. Simple,” one comment read.
“Girl.. Take accountability for your actions. We’re tired! Kudos to Garcelle, because there is no WAY I would continue to explain this to you or anyone else in your bubble,” a second added.
A third stated, “This is even more tone deaf and shows you really aren’t sorry that [you] offended someone.
PK replied to another statement that read,“…says the publicist advice ahead of getting [canceled].”
“The only thing my wife needs saving from is hearing from idiots like you,” he wrote.
As if this post wasn’t controversial enough, Dorit posted another pro-bubble post with a series of selfies and the caption, “happily living in my bubble.”
Given the clear attitude toward her discussion with Garcelle, it seems that Dorit will not be resolving the issue anytime soon. Will PK get sucked into the drama as well?
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills returns January 3, 2024 at 8/7c on Bravo.
