Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 13 has not exactly been Erika Jayne’s season, from where I’m standing. At first, it seemed Erika might receive some kind of redemption arc.
Unfortunately, once Erika got on Dorit Kemsley’s bad side, it was about over for her. However, Dorit’s had her fair share of bad moments in RHOBH Season 13 too, like ganging up on Sutton Stracke with rumors of a drinking problem.
Rather surprisingly, Crystal Kung Minkoff came to Sutton’s defense, after the two had feuded for so long in the past. It was an interesting role reversal indeed, as Sutton was once coming after Crystal, with Erika playing defense. This all went down in an unaired RHOBH scene.
Erika told Sutton to “Leave Crystal alone”
On the December 7 episode of Nick Viall’s podcast, The Viall Files, Crystal opened up about her ongoing relationship with Erika. Nick pointed out that Crystal had been critical of Erika during Season 12 for not taking more responsibility toward the victims of Tom Girardi’s alleged crimes. Crystal didn’t deny it. Nick asked how Erika was now handling the fallout of that tiff.
Crystal began, “I can’t imagine what it was like to be in her shoes at that time.” For Crystal, it was “the lack of acknowledgment” that got to her. But for Erika, it may have been more personal. Crystal explained, “Erika was very protective of me with Sutton, my first season. And you never see a second of it. [Erika] went after her, ‘Leave Crystal alone, like, she’s brand new.’”
She further explained that was probably why Erika was so hurt. “Like, ‘I protected you and now you’re coming for me.’ And my thing is, like, I’m not trying to go for you. I want for you to express that genuine care that you showed me.” Ultimately, Crystal does not believe Erika was involved in Tom’s crimes but may have “turned a blind eye.”
