While Scandoval might seem like old news, it’ll be front and center when the new season of Vanderpump Rules starts this month. Naturally, much of the drama will revolve around the fallout of Tom Sandoval cheating on longtime girlfriend Ariana Madix. But Tom “Other Tom” Schwartz must have decided that Sandoval can’t have all the fun being VPR’s resident drama queen.
In the trailer for Season 11, Other Tom dropped a bomb to Lala Kent by saying that he kissed castmate Scheana Shay. “I cheated, I was a makeout slut. I made out with Scheana, like, in Vegas. No one even knows that,” Other Tom revealed.
While this definitely seems like a prime storyline for even more drama, Pump Rules alum Kristen Doute doesn’t think it’s all that serious. On an episode of her podcast, Sex, Love, and What Else Matters, Kristen weighed in.
Did Scheana Shay and Tom Schwartz ACTUALLY kiss?
“I think he said it as a total joke. I think he said it for shock value. And then went, ‘Oh I’m just kidding. Of course not,'” Kristen mused. “Because the look on Schwartz’s face when he said it — he’s just not a great liar when it comes to things that aren’t serious,” she added.
The former cast member continued, “To me, it looks like he is sort of hiding this smile. He and Lala were probably having some conversation that was a little too deep for Schwartz. Schwartz freaks out when things are too deep and he’s not ready for that kind of conversation, and he goes for the comic relief.”
How is cheating on your spouse comic relief I ask you? Never mind, we are dealing with Schwartz here, and he is a few fries short of a Happy Meal.
Kristen’s educated guess
Kristen then concluded on theory by saying, “So I think they were probably talking about he and Katie [Maloney], maybe he and Jo [Wenberg] or he and [Rachel Leviss]. Or something like that. He got uncomfortable and then spewed that out to get a reaction, change the subject and then went, ‘Oh I’m just kidding. I’m just kidding.’ That’s what I think. But I have no idea.”
Ok, so to recap – this is simply Kristen guessing what happened and not being “in the know.” Which is fitting.
For her part, Scheana has already teased that there is more to this story than what the trailer shows. Responding to a fan on Instagram, Scheana wrote, “Things that were supposed to go to the grave. BUT it’s not exactly what you think. Stay tuned!”
