Welcome to the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 4 Finale recap. In this week’s episode, “Mysteries, Revealed,” Whitney apologizes to Heather for her drunken outburst of the previous night. The shocking true identity of one housewife is exposed, and the perpetrator of Heather’s black eye is finally revealed! Here are the highlights of RHOSLC Season 4, Episode 15.
Heather and Whitney are friends again
The morning after Heather and Whitney’s big blowout fight over Heather “exploiting [Whitney’s] vagina” in her book, Whitney knocks on her cousin’s door. She explains to the Bad Mormon author that her “fillings” were hurt by what Heather said in her book, even though Heather read it to her beforehand and made all the changes she asked for. I think Heather just wants to make peace, but she still thinks Whitney’s crazy.
Everybody’s happy as they all head off for a morning of riding mopeds around town, followed by shopping.
A storm brews
“One hour later,” outside of Heather’s room a phone is ringing. Heather’s voice is heard saying, “Hello? What did you find out? Are you kidding me right now? Shut the f*** up! I’m trembling … like trembling. I cannot believe it’s her {sniff}. How can she do this to us? I’m freaking the f*** out!”
A producer knocks at her door, but Heather doesn’t respond, so someone says, “Just go in.” But Heather’s crying on the phone and says, “You guys, no seriously,” and pushes the camera crew out of her room. What’s going on?
“Four hours later,“ everyone is getting glammed for dinner, while Heather still looks visibly upset. “I just got this devastating information,” she tells the camera. “My head is swimming … It’s too big, it’s too damning, [but] I have to deal with it … What’s about to go down, could change our friendships forever.”
At dinner, Heather announces the theme is the Bermuda Triangle. “The Bermuda Triangle is all about unsolved mysteries,” she says. Tonight some mysteries are going to be solved.
“The mystery for me with Monica,” Heather continues, “is who is the real Monica? When I met you, we bonded over being single moms of daughters, and we really had a great time … But I don’t feel like that’s who the real Monica is. The real Monica is someone who really doesn’t want to be our friend, [who] wants to profit from our lives and our pain. I know who you really are, and who you really are is … “
Heather explains it all
“Two hours earlier,“ Heather meets Whitney, Lisa, and Meredith on the beach. “There’s something I need to tell you guys,” she says. “It’s big and it’s not good.”
“Monica is not who she says she is,” Heather confesses. “She’s not our friend. She’s someone who has schemed and worked to infiltrate our friend group, and the name you all know her as … is Reality Von Tease.”
“Reality Von Tease was an Instagram account that was … dedicated to annihilating and exposing Jen Shah,” Heather explains. “But it quickly expanded to troll all of us … These were character assassinations, but we never knew who it was.”
“Before I even met Monica, I [knew] about her through our mutual friend Tenesha [Heather’s hairstylist] … She used to be Monica’s closest friend. Monica has a way of handling sensitive information that made me feel so uneasy … At first, I thought she was just over-sharing, but looking back on it now, it was something much more sinister. She uses information as a weapon. She relishes in the dirty, dark details, in the scandal … Then right before we left for Bermuda, things [got] really weird.”
“I went to Beauty Lab to get a gift card for Monica and discovered that we had three different Monicas with different last names with the same birth date,” she continued. “One of those Monicas had a large outstanding bill that had never been paid.”
The suspicion builds
Heather started to get suspicious about all the DMs between Meredith and Monica. “Nothing was making sense … I didn’t know who to believe.” But when Heather asked if she thought Meredith was sending the DMs, Monica responded, “I don’t think she would ever do that … I would do that sh*t,” and she laughed.
Heather called Tenesha, who “came clean. She told me that Monica was Reality Von Tease … Tenesha was there for all of it. She backed everything up with screenshots, text messages, audio recordings, videos, photos, DMs. Volumes of evidence exposing Monica.” Oooooh, time to get a new hairstylist, Heather. I would never trust that girl again.
Back at the dinner table, Heather says, “I know who you really are. Who you really are is the cyberbully, internet troll Reality Von Tease.”
Of course, Monica denies everything, and that’s when Heather loses it. “You are a f***ing bully and a f***ing troll, and you do not deserve to be at this table or anywhere near any of us for the way you’ve treated us.”
Finally, Monica responds, “That’s not true, entirely … [But] it’s part true.”
In a production interview, Monica confesses, “Von Tease was never just one person. It wasn’t just me. There were several other humans involved. Bottom line, our mission was to take down Jen. The other women were just collateral damage.”
“I did not start the account,” Monica finally admits. “It was Tenesha.”
Heather comes clean about her black eye
Finally, Heather gets to her feet and tells Monica, “I don’t think you understand something about this group … We are friends, and we have been through this bullsh*t before with Jen. For years we were afraid. We’d wake up sick that a lie would be posted and … exploited, but we were in it with her. And we are the type of girls that ride or die … I went on [my] book tour and defended her and took sh*t for the fact that she gave me a black eye.”
AHA! I knew it!!! I’ve said from the beginning it was Jen!!!
“I had to ride hard for her, and I had to lie for her,” Heather says. “We’re not gonna do it again for you. Pack your bags and go.”
I’ve been waiting for that for the past half hour! Get the f*** out, Monica. Your welcome has expired. You’ve burned your bridges. Now get out.
But Monica has the final word. Following the show’s credits, she’s brought back before the camera to add, “There is so much more to the story that needs to be said, and trust me, you’re all gonna want to hear it.” That’s a Reunion teaser if I ever heard one.
