Rachel Leviss Reflects on Her ‘Completely Unmanageable’ Life

One of 2023’s wildest reality TV moments was undoubtedly Scandoval. The Vanderpump Rules drama took the nation by storm, maintaining a chokehold on reality TV fans. But for many, it’s time to move on.

In Scandoval’s aftermath, all eyes turned to Rachel Leviss, with uncertainty surrounding her potential return to VPR. After the scandal, Rachel was hit hard with unwarranted hate and death threats. Sure, criticism was justified, but that? Absolutely not.

As such, Rachel was, understandably, not all that keen on coming back. In the end, she decided to call it quits with Pump Rules. With all that change taking place in just a few months, it made sense for her to reflect on where her life ended up now.

Rachel recalls how badly she “NEEDED help”

On December 31, 2023, Rachel posted a photo to Instagram, reflecting on the year that had just passed her by. “2023 hands down has been the hardest year yet,” she wrote. “My life had become completely unmanageable and I was so far down the rabbit hole of making bad decisions that I NEEDED help.”

She continued, “I’m so blessed I was able to get the help I needed. Now, I finally feel like I’m seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. As we set intentions into the new year, I vow to be a better friend to the ones close in my life. To those that have stood by me through my darkest days, I will always remember and cherish you.”

Rachel concluded her thoughts by writing, “Eternally grateful for a second chance. Here’s to an epic 2024! [butterfly emoji]” She received a great deal of criticism and support on the post. Many commenters found it difficult to sympathize with her, suggesting she’d caused her own undoing. Plenty of other commenters, though, were ready to express forgiveness and give Rachel another chance.

To her credit, Rachel didn’t limit comments on the post, as many other reality stars probably would. At least she can take the criticism where others certainly wouldn’t be able to.

Rachel Goes Rogue is live on January 8 on all podcast streaming platforms, and Vanderpump Rules Season 11 premieres January 30 at 8/7c on Bravo.
