Oh, Terry. Lady Clairol is not your friend.
When Heather Dubrow posted a photo on Instagram of herself and her husband Dr. Terry Dubrow, it was kind of shocking. The Real Housewives of Orange County star and her other half were preparing to celebrate New Year’s Eve together. But what happened to Terry’s hair?
Normally, Terry’s hair is a lovely salt-and-pepper shade. But suddenly it appeared jet black in Heather’s photo. Did he think we wouldn’t notice? Fans immediately started commenting on the darker hair change.
“What happened to Terry?”
In addition to a mirror selfie of the couple, Heather posted a series of them posing in a photo booth with hair nearly the same color. Fans of the Botched star were immediately curious about the change and flooded Heather’s Instagram with comments.
“Terry go back to natural hair color, please,” one said.
“Ummm. Hair dye? No bueno,” remarked another.
One follower simply commented, “What happened to Terry?” while another wondered if he’d gone “a little overboard on the hair dye.”
And the hits just kept coming.
“Terry, with all of your money, could you not afford a good colorist?” one fan asked.
“Giving me Adams [sic] Family vibes!!!” someone else wrote, referencing the fictional Gothic family created by American cartoonist Charles Addams.
And my personal favorite, “Love is, sharing the same bottle of hair dye,” accompanied by a red heart.
The criticism of Terry’s new look was overwhelmingly negative. Several commenters thought the darker hair made the Newport Beach plastic surgeon look older or just unwell. A few wondered if he had fully recovered from his health scare back in August 2023, when he suffered a mini-stroke.
Neither the couple nor their representatives responded to any of the comments. Dark hair? Who cares!
