When Vanderpump Rules Season 10 ended, nobody wanted anything to do with Tom Sandoval. Chief among the anti-Tom crowd was, of course, Ariana Madix. She was justified in wanting to cut all ties from her former boyfriend.
Of course, that begged the question: if Tom and Ariana were to both return for Season 11, how exactly would that work? Well, for Ariana, it wouldn’t. At least, not as long as they had to be together. Once Season 11 began filming, reports suggested Ariana would not film at all with Tom.
Even as Season 11 was halfway through, these reports still persisted. While the two were occasionally photographed in the same space, that was a bit different from filming together. Now, producer Alex Baskin has confirmed that the two didn’t film together at all up to the very end.
The Scandoval “wounds” have not “healed” for Tom and Ariana after Season 11
On January 2, TV Insider reported on Alex Baskin’s assessment of Tom and Ariana throughout Season 11. “I wouldn’t say that the wounds have healed,” Alex said. He further claimed that Tom and Ariana “have not gotten to the other side of what happened.” Moreover, despite still living together, Alex confirmed that the two had not filmed with each other.
He explained, “That’s an oddity we cover in all of its fascination. They’re living together but have vastly different faiths and fortunes. In the same house in which Ariana has all sorts of gifts that have been sent to her by sponsors and admirers, Tom has to walk past them every day.” It’s an unprecedented dynamic indeed.
It’s so bizarre that many fans have questioned the reality of the pair’s breakup, considering they can still cohabitate together. Explanations as to why they were still living together seemed to flip-flop for a while, until Ariana finally explained that it was a matter of money. As co-owners on the home, Tom would have to buy out Ariana, but she doesn’t want that.
