Well, it looks like Tom Sandoval is under fire again. This time, it has nothing to do with who he’s sleeping with, and instead, it’s who he’s posing with.
The Vanderpump Rules star has been traveling around Asia with his partner in crime, Tom Schwartz. They recently visited Tiger World Thailand, and Tom shared a video of himself posing with a giant tiger, living his best Joe Exotic fantasy.
Anyone who’s seen Tiger King knows that these types of businesses offering animal encounters are wildly problematic. Apparently, Tom didn’t get the memo, so his co-star Lala Kent took the time to set him straight.
Stay away from the tigers, Sandoval – or face Lala’s wrath
If Sandoval is Joe Exotic, that makes Lala VPR’s Carole Baskin. She’s outraged at the fact Tom would pose with a tiger in captivity. Could he not find something better to do with his time in Thailand? Why not just go to a ping-pong show like everyone else?
While we can’t say for sure what goes on at Tiger World Thailand, we know that a lot of these places treat their animals poorly. They have to drug them and declaw them so they can pose for pictures with people like Sandoval. It’s not a life worth living. Obviously, tigers should be in the wild and not working as side-show attractions, so Lala slammed Tom for partaking in the activity.
On Instagram, she wrote, “I am appalled by the photo my cast member took with a tiger in captivity. This topic has been close to my heart for many years.”
Lala continued, “What is disguised as “fun” and “cool,” is in fact, animal abuse. It’s heartbreaking. I’ve made noise about educating yourselves, & and here I am to tell you again… Do not support places like this.”
Of course, Lala wasn’t the only person to call out Sandoval for the problematic post. Tons of fans have called him out for his lack of awareness. Even James Kennedy weighed in, and said, “I would never go to a place like this , …… Let them all run free … always found this cruel and so sad.”
Sandoval hasn’t commented on the backlash. He probably won’t. After all, this is just another day in the life of reality TV’s least-favorite guy.
