No one could blame Olivia Flowers for shunning 2023 and hoping for a better year to come. The hardship began on January 30 when her brother, Conner Flowers, tragically passed away.
Southern Charm captured the rest of the drama in Olivia’s life. And from what can be deduced, the tragedy brought the family closer together.
On December 31, Olivia said goodbye to that difficult year with an Instagram post to commemorate the important people in her life.
Olivia chose to focus on “all the love” after the past year
One picture featured the Southern Charm star on a dock at sunset with friends. Another commemorated a wedding for which Olivia was a bridesmaid. Several photos included the reality TV star with her parents.
Olivia captioned the post, “2023 was not a favorite, but it certainly brought me closer to mine. Grateful for my day ones [and] all the love you brought this year.”
Followers responded with supportive words. Southern Charm co-star Leva Bonaparte also commented with heart emojis and the text, “love ya.”
Olivia can certainly be commended for keeping her dignity and grace in difficult situations. Her former friend, Taylor Ann Green, didn’t make it the year any easier.
Southern Charm fans will recall how Taylor kissed Olivia’s ex-flame, Austen Kroll, and proceeded to lie about it. Once she had to come clean, Taylor then proceeded to play victim and demanded forgiveness. Olivia stood her ground and commanded the respect she deserved. The former friends do not speak to this day.
All in all, Olivia won the support of Southern Charm viewers. But it had to have been hard to live through all the drama in addition to the tragedy in her personal life.
Here’s to hoping for a better year for the Bravolebrity and her family. It seems they’ve found strength in each other and choose to focus on commemorating Conner in any way they can.
