Andy Cohen has finally addressed whether Heather Gay’s iconic Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 4 monologue was rehearsed.
In case you need a refresher, during the finale episode, Heather gathered the rest of the OGs from RHOSLC to spill the hottest tea. For years, their newest co-star, Monica Garcia, had been running the Instagram troll account Reality Von Tease. Although its mission was to go after Jen Shah, the page slowly began going after the rest of the women.
During the epic monologue, Heather laid into Monica. “This is how you know I’m telling the truth,” she shouted. “I have your perfect formula. Receipts. Proof. Timeline. Screenshots. F*cking everything to prove that you are a f*cking bully and a f*cking troll and that you don’t deserve to be at this table or anywhere near any of us for the way you’ve treated us.”
Does Heather deserve an Oscar?
During an interview with Today, Andy revealed some behind-the-scenes info about the franchise we know and love. “We’ve been breaking the fourth wall on [The Real Housewives] more and more over the years. Sometimes it’s unavoidable,” he said. “The biggest question is, ‘When did production find out?’ And the answer is down south on this trip is when everyone found this out.”
However, according to Andy, Heather may have had this on her mind for some time.
“I think she’d been thinking about it a lot. And I think she was fired up and upset and passionate,” he said.
“One of the hardest things about this show is the social media conversation and aggression that happens as a result of it. And I think that the women were so upset because this played into something that they felt very upset by over the years.”
Part 1 of the three-part reunion aired on January 9, and immediately set the tone. Next week’s episode will reintroduce Mary Cosby to the group and get her take on the shocking revelation regarding Monica.
