Content warning: brief mention of suicide.
As Real Housewives of Beverly Hills goes on, fans continue to see the cracks that led to news of Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky’s marital troubles. For example, the proximity between Kyle and Morgan Wade.
Fans and co-stars alike have speculated about the true nature of Kyle and Morgan’s relationship. However, the issues go beyond just that. In a previous episode, Kyle expressed some distaste for Mauricio’s lifestyle. Kyle said she didn’t always want to attend Mauricio’s parties or work events. She was getting tired of it all.
On last night’s episode, however, the tables were turned; Mauricio didn’t show up for Kyle. He had a somewhat fair excuse, but Kyle’s disappointment was clear.
Morgan arrives in Kyle’s hour of need
On the January 10 episode of RHOBH, fans saw a lamentably sympathetic moment unfold for Kyle. This was months before news of Kyle and Mauricio’s marriage troubles hit the press but revealed some tension under the surface. Kyle had put together a memorial for her late friend Lorene Shea, who tragically died by suicide in May 2022.
As it turned out, Mauricio couldn’t make it to the memorial, and Kyle admitted she was rather disappointed. “Mau can’t be here because he had to go out of town for business,” Kyle said in a confessional. “Had this been a few years ago, I would have really relied on him on a night like tonight.”
In a separate confessional, Garcelle Beauvais noted Mauricio’s absence, commenting that it “says a lot about where [Kyle’s] relationship is.” Kyle, for her part, felt even worse because Lorene told her just two days before passing to “always appreciate your marriage.” Kyle admitted, “Now that we’re having a hard time, I think I’m letting her down.”
Despite Mauricio’s absence, Morgan attended the memorial in support of Kyle. While there, Morgan also performed a heartfelt song.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills continues Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
