Southern belle Sutton Stracke joined The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast in Season 10 as a friend of the cast. But she was given her diamond in Season 11 and wasted no time earning it. She was the only cast member to question co-star Erika Jayne about her estranged husband, Tom Girardi’s, legal woes.
Sutton has had her share of meltdowns, funny quotes, and spot-on shade in her confessionals. She can be awkward and is sometimes unable to read the room. While she may not be everyone’s cup of tea, I admit that I’m a Sutton fan. I think that she spices up RHOBH. Let’s take a look back at Sutton’s most iconic quotes.
“Let the Mouse Go” – Season 10
When Sutton and Dorit Kemsley arrived at Lisa Rinna’s daughter’s event, Sutton quietly said, “I’m going to flip out.” Dorit embellished Sutton’s quote to be far more dramatic at the dinner afterward.
Lisa was angry that her bestie, Sutton, was causing issues. And Sutton told Dorit to stop coming for her and to shut up. Finally, after having a good cry, Sutton told Dorit that she had her fun. “Let the mouse go,” Sutton repeatedly told a flabbergasted Dorit. Let’s face it, getting Dorit to stop talking is a challenge.
“I Thought That Teddi, Maybe You Were Going To Be a Little Boring” – Season 10
During Season 10, Sutton was a guest at Kyle Richards’ dinner party. As a game, the attendees were supposed to give their first impression of another guest. Well, Sutton was tasked with saying something about Teddi Mellencamp. And she found it difficult.
Eventually, Sutton stated, “I’m going to be very honest. I thought that Teddi, maybe you were going to be a little boring. I’m sorry. Are we supposed to be honest or not?” she asked.
The boutique owner added that Teddi was much more interesting than she thought she would be. Eventually, the pregnant mom started to cry. Proving my theory that no one will ever enjoy a meal on RHOBH.
“Anyone Who Doubts My Exquisite Manners Can Kiss My Exquisite Derriére” – Season 11
Sutton’s Season 11 tagline, “Anyone who doubts my exquisite manners can kiss my exquisite derriére,” was perfect for her. Sutton was well-known for her manners and love of place cards. While she often called out how rude her co-stars were, she was also a repeat offender at being impolite.
“Jealous of What? Your Ugly Leather Pants?” – Season 11
During the Lake Tahoe trip, Georgia peach Sutton accidentally walked in on Crystal Kung Minkoff while she was changing. Sutton was just trying to return Crystal’s coat, but Crystal felt “violated” by the intrusion.
The ladies continued to spar over Crystal’s use of the word “violated.” At a low-key party thrown by Lisa, Sutton cried about what Crystal said about her.
“It’s hard for me to sit there and pretend everything is great and hunky-dory when it’s not,” Sutton said. Which caused Kathy Hilton to ask who Hunky-Dory was. Poor Kathy did not have a clue. Cue the crickets.
When Crystal refused to apologize for her word choice, Sutton stormed off. Then Crystal accused her of just being jealous. “Jealous of what? Your ugly leather pants?” Sutton fired back. I’m with Sutton on this one. Those pants were not flattering.
“Honestly, I’d Have a Lot of Rage Too if I Lost All My Money” – Season 11
Sutton didn’t go easy on Erika at all during Season 11. But during Kathy’s girls trip, Erika’s emotions were all over the map. She claimed to have no money but had her glam squad.
Sutton, tired of being friends one minute and enemies the next, sympathized with Erika. “Honestly, I’d have a lot of rage too if I lost all my money,” she remarked.
“I Am on the Board of the American Ballet Foundation. I Don’t Do That F**king SH*T!” – Season 13
When the ladies headed off to Vegas to celebrate Crystal’s 40th birthday, it promised to be a fun time. Sutton even had her stack of singles ready for Magic Mike. Erika told the ladies to wear pants if they wanted to be on stage, and Sutton suited up.
But when the dancers had their heads between Erika and Crystal’s legs, Sutton became upset. She stormed out of the theater. “I am on the board of the American Ballet Foundation. I don’t do that f*cking sh*t!” she exclaimed.
While Sutton insisted that she was shocked by the spread-eagled action, her co-stars believed that she was angry that she wasn’t picked to go onstage. She seemed odd that night. But fans may never know exactly why.
“Name ‘Em” – Season 13
After the Vegas trip, Kyle paid a visit to Sutton at her house. And she confronted Sutton about her odd behavior at the Magic Mike show.
“You have a habit of losing your sh*t in ridiculous circumstances, too,” Kyle stated. Sutton cooly responded, “Name ’em.”
So, as Kyle tried to speak, Sutton repeated the iconic catchphrase. She challenged Kyle to “name ’em” a total of 10 times. I applaud Kyle for getting Sutton to stop talking long enough to run down a list of her meltdowns, which was also very impressive.
“Name ’em” was instantly one of Sutton’s most iconic quotes.
