Amazing how two people who showed such exemplary cooperation and award-winning teamwork could one day hate each other. But that’s just how life can be, especially life adjacent to reality TV. Two of basketball’s all-time greats, Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen, have a list of reasons to feud.
The latest item on that list concerns two Real Housewives of Miami stars (and more recently, stars of The Traitors). Larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan caused quite an outcry when they first announced their romance, more than anything due to the age difference.
But Scottie and Michael haven’t seemed all that enthusiastic about the relationship either. Now, the happy couple might be keeping the former NBA All-Stars from going out.
Contention between the Jordans and Pippens
The Chicago Bulls’ Ring of Honor Ceremony felt slightly underattended on January 12, but only because two of the Bulls’ biggest names were absent. Neither Michael Jordan nor Scottie Pippen showed up for the big event. Of course, that wasn’t a surprise to the event’s organizers. They knew ahead of time the Bulls alums wouldn’t be showing up.
Neither Scottie nor Michael gave a public reason for their absence from the ceremony. Despite his failure to show, Michael recorded a virtual message that was shared at the event. He expressed, “I am so bummed that I can’t be there tonight. Believe me, I am very grateful and very honored.” Amid the event, many eyes turned to Larsa and Marcus.
Granted, Scottie and Michael weren’t on the best of footing before the former’s ex-wife paired up with the latter’s son. But it couldn’t have helped things. One unexpected absence was that of Dennis Rodman, a former power forward for the Bulls. His failure to show was a surprise to everyone according to reports.
