On Season 6 of The Real Housewives of Miami, you can’t go more than a minute without hearing Lisa Hochstein ranting about her hellish divorce from Lenny Hochstein. It’s bad for her, but luckily, her life hasn’t been all doom and gloom. She quickly found love again with her new boyfriend Jody Glidden.
We’ve heard Lisa talk about Jody almost as much as Lenny. She’s head over heels, but what’s next for their relationship?
Lisa recently chatted with Us Weekly about their budding romance, and she shared whether or not another walk down the aisle is in her future.
Are Lisa and Jody ready for marriage?
Lisa hasn’t been afraid to admit that she’s madly in love with Jody. However, she’s unsure if marriage is in the cards for them. Her divorce from Lenny has been so bad that it might have turned her off from marriage altogether. Good job, Lenny.
“I do [want to get married again.] I don’t know. Yes and no,” Lisa revealed. “I just don’t like all of the bad stuff that comes along with divorce. We’re good right now.”
Even if Lisa and Jody did want to take their relationship to the next level, she explained that she legally can’t tie the knot right now. Technically, she and Lenny are still married. She can’t walk down the aisle until they finalize the divorce. Lisa said she doesn’t even want to consider it until the Lenny situation is behind her.
“I don’t want to be engaged or married until I’m [divorced,]” Lisa explained. “You’re not legally allowed to be married to two people.”
Obviously, that hasn’t stopped Lenny. He proposed to his new girlfriend Katharina Mazepa in July 2023, just over a year after separating from Lisa.
Lisa and Jody are blending families
When it comes to Lisa and Jody, the RHOM star seems confident about the trajectory of her relationship, with or without a ring. They’re “really happy” right now, and she’s even started building a relationship with his daughter and ex-wife. They all spent time together over the holidays, and that’s major.
“My entire life, actually, I’ve never quite had a relationship like this, so that’s great,” she shared. “He’s great with my kids and his daughter. Our family is expanded.”
For us RHOM fans, perhaps the best thing about Jody is that he isn’t camera-shy. He’s made a few appearances so far on Season 6, and Lisa said her co-stars quickly warmed up to him. If he has the seal of approval from the rest of the Real Housewives of Miami, then you know he must be a good fit for Lisa.
