Vanderpump Rules star Scheana Shay got married again. This time around her husband’s name is Brock Davies and no he isn’t a soap star from 1987, he’s a body-builder from Australia.
Brock had a bit of a difficult introduction to Pump Rules. First fans thought he was just another man on Scheana’s hit list but Brock and his high heels stuck. While Scheana was falling in love, others were finding out about Brock’s past. Back in Oz, he left behind an ex-wife and two kids. On a recent episode of Scheana’s podcast Scheananigans, the couple talked about a trip to Brock’s home Down Under, and the kids he didn’t get to see.
This is the bed he made
Most Pump Rules fans have given Brock a pass for being the least problematic man on a cast of toxic and problematic men. While he might be a great husband to Scheana and a great dad to Summer Moon, his previous family might have some different opinions.
After returning from a trip halfway across the world, Scheana and Brock talked about their time in Australia. I’m guessing his ex-wife didn’t roll out the red carpet, because Brock cried about it to listeners.
“There is a side of me that just wants to fight hard [to see them]. But then there is another side that reminds me this is a tough balancing act,” Brock said. Yeah, it’s tough to feel empathy for a man who has a whole new wife and kid and didn’t pay child support.
“Actions have consequences. Just hearing you talk about it [reminds me] I have to keep doing what I am doing. I am happy with the changes I made in my life and I am really happy with that,” he continued. What changes? Cutting your hair and marrying a chick on a reality television show aren’t the “changes” your kids are looking for. The ex would probably appreciate some acknowledgment for raising their children alone and some financial support.
Despite the rough road Brock has had with his first wife, Scheana noted they receive photos of his two children “regularly” now. Brock and his ex separated after some domestic violence issues and he left after the birth of his son.
Brock has high hopes for the future
Thankfully Brock is allegedly current on his child support. Right now he and Scheana “are working on a healthy or better relationship with the kids’ mom and their stepdad.”
Brock added, “The goal is to be on time with my child support every month …. and communicate with them.” Look buddy, child support isn’t a “goal.” It’s a “court order” and you can “go to jail” in the United States if you lapse. It shouldn’t be a “goal” to be a parent and provide money for your children to live, but go off.
As for why he didn’t see the kids when he was in town, “It is a very difficult situation. Based on my actions and my past and what my actions have caused for these kids — especially when they were younger — there was obviously trauma there that needed to be mended,” he explained.
“I need to keep turning up and show them that I am the dad that I want to be and that they want to be around,” Brock added. Well, good luck to him and good luck to all of his kids.
Vanderpump Rules returns to Bravo on Tuesday, January 30 at 8/7c.
