On The Real Housewives of Potomac, singer and potstirrer Candiace Dillard Bassett doesn’t have too many allies right now. However, it sounds like she has a friend in Orange County, and that’s Tamra Judge!
Tamra recently discussed Season 8 of RHOP on her podcast, Two Ts In A Pod with Teddi Mellencamp. When chatting about the beef between Candiace and Robyn Dixon, Tamra came to Candiace’s defense in a major way.

Tamra has Candiace’s back
On RHOP Season 8, Episode 8, Candiace, Robyn, and Ashley Darby had an intense dinner table exchange about how they use social media. Ashley accused Candiace of hiding behind social media to attack her castmates. Robyn added that no one in the cast should weaponize social media. Tamra and Teddi had some thoughts about that.
“I’m just gonna throw a wrench in that,” Tamra said. “Doesn’t Robyn use her podcast to talk about cast members on the show at times? Isn’t that the same as going on social media?”
Of course, Robyn hosts the Reasonably Shady podcast along with her bestie, Gizelle Bryant. They recently came under fire for commenting on an unfounded rumor about Candiace’s husband cheating on her. They’ve also clashed with Teddi and Tamra over who has the most popular Housewives podcast. So, it shouldn’t be too surprising that Tamra isn’t on Robyn’s side here.
On RHOP, Candiace got super frustrated with Ashley and Robyn for criticizing her. She accused them of holding her to a double standard, an accusation we’ve heard countless times on this show. Eventually, she got fed up and shouted, “The line is always moving!”
When discussing Candiace’s temper tantrum, Tamra said she completely understood where she was coming from. On the podcast, she said, “I do feel like they hold Candiace to a certain standard in this group.”
Whether or not you think there’s a double standard in the group, you have to admit that the divide in the group has become exhausting to watch. Karen Huger has been spending Season 8 trying to bridge the gap, but it hasn’t worked. Maybe we just need Tamra to visit Potomac to mediate this situation.
