Meghan King is virtually undefeated at catching the red flags of men associated with The Real Housewives of Orange County. Vicki Gunvalson’s ex, Brooks Ayers, probably still hasn’t recovered from Meghan exposing his alleged cancer lie.
The latest OC drama brewing revolves around Alexis Bellino possibly making a RHOC return. And, she’s dating Shannon Beador’s messy ex, John Janssen. Even if Alexis doesn’t snatch up the contract she was offered, her and John’s relationship and Shannon’s reaction to it will likely come up next season.
Meghan’s not even on the show anymore, but her work is never done. In light of Alexis and John getting very serious very quickly, Meghan revealed that she recently warned Alexis about concerns she has with John.
Meghan King: John Janssen is “love-bombing” Alexis Bellino
Meghan, speaking exclusively to Page Six, expressed her reservations about Alexis’ involvement with John. In a game of “Show the Shot or Take the Shot,” Meghan disclosed the latest text she got from Alexis. In it, Meghan cautioned Alexis about John’s behavior.
Meghan explained the context surrounding the text. “[Alexis] just said, ‘Thank you for your love and support,’ because I was texting her like, ‘Be careful –– it seems like he’s love-bombing.'”
Meghan hasn’t met John. But, like many of us who were left scratching our heads at the dysfunctional manner in which he and Shannon operated, she spotted some ominous warning signs about his behavior.
Meghan continued, “I’m sure he has a lot of lovely traits, but after being in a narcissistic relationship myself and done a lot of healing from that, I just see things that have been put out willingly by both of them, all of them, that kind of lead me to believe that there might be some red flags in the way that John approaches a relationship.”
I’d have to assume Johnny J giving Alexis a promise ring after dating for five whole minutes and their loved-up pics on Instagram contributed to Meghan’s probably accurate assessment.
Meghan and Shannon still keep in contact
Meghan still chats with Shannon, most recently discussing psychics. But the two also reflected on their time together on RHOC. Meghan revealed that Shannon said being on the show “was so much more fun then.”
Megan said she’ll attempt to stay neutral, because she’s friends with both women. “I just wanna be the one to lend my love and support … we’re all in a very unique position with having our personal lives out there, and we’re all a part of this ‘Housewives’ club, so I just wanna make sure that we band together when the time is right.”
If Alexis and John last long enough to make it to next season, I bet we’ll quickly find out if Detective Meghan nailed it once again!
Season 18 of The Real Housewives of Orange County just began filming and will likely hit Bravo later this year.
