Todd Chrisley Worries Ahead of Potential Prison Transfer

Todd Chrisley has made no secret of his disgust with his living conditions in prison. However, he worries about a potential prison transfer.

The reality star’s lawyer, Jay Surgent, spoke to TMZ. They said his client doesn’t want to move prisons because he’s scared that officials and guards in any potential new facility will retaliate against him for speaking out against his living conditions at FPC Pensacola.

I mean, that’s probably something he should have considered earlier…

Todd’s prison stance remains unchanged

Todd, who is doing 12 years due to a conviction for several fraud charges, believes that his well-documented and highly public criticism of FOCO will have other prison officials targeting him. This makes potentially transferring rather frightening.

Jay shared that Todd has heard that he could be on his way out after continuously complaining about Pensacola for awful food, potential mold, bad plumbing, and so many other issues. And while leaving seemed to be the goal when he did this, now he’s realizing that maybe the devil you know is better than the devil you don’t.

Currently, it’s all hypothetical. Jay has not received any notice of transfer or any official messages. But if Todd were to be kicked out of Florida, he’d most likely stay in a federal prison next and not a state prison, like daughter Savannah Chrisley shared could happen.

Faced with the potential transfer, Todd’s now looking at reasons he wants to stay in FPCP. The most immediate of which is his family. Savannah regularly visits both Todd and his wife, Julie Chrisley, who is in Kentucky. Todd fears that if he gets transferred too far away, visits would be harder and thus fewer and far between.

Plus, Jay shared that Todd also feels he’s become like a mentor to some other inmates at Pensacola.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons does not comment on individual prison transfers. They did however explain that prisoners move around for various reasons, including security issues and medical needs.

TELL US – DO YOU THINK TODD SHOULD BE TRANSFERRED? OR SHOULD HE DO HIS TIME AND THINK BEFORE HE SPEAKS?
