Ariana Madix has given another explanation regarding her living situation with Tom Sandoval. As fans know, the Vanderpump Rules stars have still been living together despite everything that went down in Season 10.
The stars’ shared home was obviously confusing for fans given how unabashedly Ariana expressed her disdain for Tom. But even as fans questioned why the two were still living together, answers felt sparse.
Eventually, Ariana explained that Tom wanted to keep the home while she wanted to sell it. Since they co-own the home, it’s become a legal dispute, with Ariana suing Tom in the hopes a judge will force him to sell the home. So, what are Ariana’s current thoughts in the midst of all this?
Ariana’s difficulty in being “on a mortgage”
Ariana spoke with The Messenger at the VPR Season 11 premiere. When asked about the situation with the house, she explained, “You guys know that I asked the courts to help facilitate a sale so things can move along, and I’m just waiting to hear a response to that.”
She continued, “I would love to own my own home, and that’s difficult to do when you’re on a mortgage, currently. It’s a financial investment, and I don’t have just tons of money laying around. So, I have to be wise with my financial future, and this is something that I have to really take into consideration. You know, I can’t just say, like, ‘Bye!’”
She does have a point; the housing landscape certainly isn’t what it used to be. It’s a bit of a minefield at the moment. That said, if the issue is financial, Tom offered to buy Ariana out of the house. So, either Tom only offered Ariana a pittance or there’s something else going on here. Of course, there may also be revenge as a driving factor.
