There’s nothing worse than a new housewife who forgets she’s a newbie and comes in with OG vibes. Such is the instance with the curious case of Annemarie Wiley on the latest season of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She was brought on as a friend of Kyle Richards, who is now most likely regretting extending an invite. Annemarie has really got the Bravosphere talking, and not in a good way. Both fans and castmates are finding Annemarie Wiley so unlikable.
Annemarie is perfect at starting the pettiest and dumbest drama the RHOBH has ever dealt with, and that says a lot. She is clearly in competition with the other women, but her sloppy delivery isn’t winning over any fans.
Annemarie’s intentions and target have been so clear that it is hard for her to see that she might have actually fit in if she had given the group a chance. Perhaps the worst trait is that Annemarie can’t seem to remember anything she says after a few seconds, which makes having an argument with her extremely difficult.
I hope she is a one-and-done housewife cause I don’t think I could stomach another season with the pot stirrer. Dare I say, I’d rather Lisa Rinna?
Who Even Is Annemarie?
I’m going to call it; time of death Season 13 for Annemarie. The 40-year-old is possibly the biggest fail in Real Housewives history. Firstly, Annemarie wasn’t even introduced until the sixth episode, and up until that moment, I had forgotten we were getting a newbie. Then she was only in about ten minutes of each episode coming in hot like a tornado.
It most definitely feels like Annemarie was brought on as a cast member to be a bodyguard for Kyle Richards. Annemarie is opinionated, but she lacks any form of personality to back up her opinions. Not many Real Housewives of Beverly Hills viewers have related to the football wife, which prevents them from being interested in her minimal storylines. It’s like she isn’t even trying!
Annemarie Lets Her Husband Define Her Worth
The fact that Annemarie’s husband, Marcellus Wiley, is rating her looks, athleticism, humor, and god knows what else is absolutely disgusting. During the cringe-worthy scene, Annemarie laughed off how her husband degraded her accomplishments as if this was his way of flirting. Instantly, fans had a visceral reaction to the comments and lost respect for the newbie. While she may only be an 8.5 in her husband’s eyes, she gets a 10 for her ability to annoy viewers.
Annemarie Goes After Fan Favorites
I can’t express this point enough, but Annemarie’s determination to get to the bottom of Sutton Stracke‘s stomach issues is just too damn much. The Nurse Anesthetist came across as a lawyer as she cornered Sutton and backtracked on the topic of a possible eating disorder. Annemarie was inappropriate for attempting to give her any form of medical advice and basically shamed Sutton.
Those with an autoimmune disease know how hard it can be to get an actual diagnosis. The process is usually drawn out and, at times, painful. So, it seemed especially cruel of Annemarie to make such comments against Sutton. It doesn’t help that Sutton is far more popular with fans than Annemarie. Targeting Sutton only made Annemarie more unlikable.
It’s More Than Just Fans Who Dislike Annemarie
Just this week, Annemarie was blasted by the American Society of Anesthesiologists. It seems to have started when Crystal Kung Minkoff suggested that the 40-year-old had insinuated she was a doctor rather than a nurse anesthetist.
In retaliation, the ASA released a statement writing, “The Real Housewives know a fake … Anesthesiologists are medical doctors with more than 12 years of higher education and up to 16,000 hours of clinical training. Title misappropriation has no place in health care.” It’s normal when fans hate a housewife, but for a whole industry to be riled up, that’s new.
For Annemarie to either not know what she is talking about or misrepresent the information by selectively pulling from her conversations with other medical professionals is awful and a disservice to those in the medical field trying to do the right thing.
Annemarie Sacrificed Her Integrity for Fame
I can’t help but feel like Annemarie is acting a fool, all in the name of getting her 15 minutes of fame. In my professional opinion, anyone in the medical field who gives unwarranted advice and actively makes comments about another’s health issues deserves everything that is thrown at them. It’s more than just the bad advice Annemarie gives, it’s her motivation behind it. She seems to speaking up about this issue in an attempt to make herself more prominent among the RHOBH cast, which is just gross.
