Season 11 of Vanderpump Rules will premiere on Bravo in the coming weeks — and all eyes are sure to be focused on Tom Sandoval. The VPR OG has been in the hot seat since the end of Season 10 when the rest of the cast discovered his months-long affair. Not only was he cheating, but with his girlfriend’s then-best friend, Rachel Leviss.
Shortly after the world found out, Tom became the most hated man on television. Although this is a title he’s familiar with, he’s never had the pleasure of owning it. That went to his pal, Jax Taylor, who was always involved in something much worse.
Now that Jax is no longer on the show, and Season 11 will be Tom’s most challenging yet, the wannabe singer revealed he might have more in common with his ex-co-star than he thought. “I never understood why Jax [was] like, ‘Oh, I don’t want to watch the show,'” Tom told The Messenger. “I know he’s gone through it on the show, obviously having to deal with the fallout of his actions — just like myself now — and it’s tough. It’s hard to see it.”
What has Tom learned since Scandoval and filming Season 11?
Since Tom’s name has been on everybody’s lips since March 2023, he’s undoubtedly had to hear his share of people’s opinions. They come from his co-stars, and the four million viewers who tuned into the Season 10 finale. Through it all, Tom noted he’s “just looking forward” to leaving this behind him.
Between Seasons 10 and 11, Tom worked on other projects, including a podcast, The Masked Singer, and Fox’s Special Forces.
“Basically, I just started spending time alone — being OK with being alone, being OK with just sitting in my feelings,” he explained. “I worked on myself [and] focused on trying to stay busy and trying to work on the things that I can actually change. I can’t force people to change their minds about me. All I can do is stay busy and try to better myself and live better.”
