The divorce between Lisa and Lenny Hochstein of The Real Housewives of Miami mirrors a classic tale. A superficial, average-looking wealthy man in the midst of a mid-life crisis trades in his wife for a newer model.
However, it’s not often in these tales that there are front row seats to every aggressively contentious event that happens. With these two, every beef ends up on RHOM, the internet, or both.
Lisa’s moved on to a new relationship, but it often seems like her favorite topic to discuss is still the Lenny of it all. Most recently, she discussed the hit her self-esteem took after finding out that Lenny moved on with someone else.
Lisa and Lenny’s split caused her to question her age and looks
Lisa, 41, opened up to Page Six about her struggles with self-esteem following her husband’s decision to divorce after 12 years of marriage. She revealed, “I think that everybody feels that way. Like what’s wrong with me? Am I getting too old? Am I not beautiful enough?”
The divorce has been marked by constant legal battles and public mudslinging, including allegations of cheating, abuse, overspending, and parenting disputes – all of which both parties vehemently deny. Lenny, 57, is now engaged to Katharina Mazepa, 27, with whom he proposed in July while still legally married to Lisa. The divorce filing took place in 2022.
Reflecting on one of the messiest Bravo break-ups ever, Lisa shared, “I just saw somebody that I just didn’t know anymore … I understood that he wanted nothing to do with me, and it was very hurtful.”
Despite the challenges, Lisa’s moved on with boyfriend, Jody Glidden, and emphasized the importance of regaining her independence. She expressed, “I just wanted to do my own thing … regain my power, regain my strength, and show my kids that you don’t need to be weak. You need to be in charge. You need to be powerful, and you need to take charge of your life.”
Lisa’s also ventured into entrepreneurship. launching her own fragrance named Fly. Thinking back on her journey, she admitted, “For the last 15 years, I really focused on … building Lenny and myself … but it turns out it was for him. I wish I had started doing my own thing a long time ago.”
Lenny’s a well-known plastic surgeon and probably crafted some of Lisa’s beauty with his own two hands. Color me shocked that her having feelings of not being “beautiful enough” hasn’t led to a lawsuit … yet!
