There was more drama afoot for Toya and Dr. Eugene in Married to Medicine Season 10, Episode 10! Last we saw, the cute couple had tried to reignite their fire, while Phaedra gave some spiritual healing to the group. This week, Toya and Eugene continued to try and make it work, while Jackie put on her director’s hat and filmed a PSA. Here’s everything you need to know about Married to Medicine Season 10, Episode 10: “A Very Powerful Message.”
No History’s Mysteries for Toya
It was another day at the office for Dr. Heavenly. She was scheduled to do a dental implant for TS Madison, who stars on Queen’s Court. The two had hit it off prior, and Heavenly loved that she was able to learn about the trans community from her. She noted at the end of the day, the trans community just wanted to be respected. When the procedure was over the two besties joked about their chest sizes. Perhaps, Heavenly will make an appearance on Queen’s Court next?
Meanwhile Dr. Simone and Toya met up for some cocktails. Simone needed to destress from work, and Toya needed to vent about Eugene. Toya informed Simone they were lacking passion and were stuck in the same pattern. She was tired of planning all the dates and wanted Eugene to step up to the plate. There was just one problem…
Simone spilled the tea that Eugene told her husband Cecil he was scared to plan dates because Toya was too critical. That news didn’t go over well. Toya went off on a tangent about how Eugene took her on a trip where they rode a horse driven carriage and learned about history. And if there’s one thing Toya hated, it was history. Simone needed another cocktail. She advised Toya that life was about balance. But Toya wasn’t hearing it.
The Ozempic of it all
Simone and Jackie both gave their patients a little lesson on Ozempic. Everyone knows it’s the favorite weight loss drug of the Real Housewives, hence the current shortage in medication. Simone noted it was originally intended for diabetics, but the medication makes you feel full which can help obese patients curb their eating. It worked for Simone’s patient, however she was going to stop taking the medication in order to try and get pregnant.
Jackie was going to prescribe it to her patient who was suffering from obesity. But first she brought out a magic scale that gives you your age based on your weight. Jackie got on it and proudly exclaimed the scale deemed her twenty-seven years old. Which probably didn’t make her patient feel that great about herself. According to Jackie, the pros of Ozempic outweighed the cons so she would continue to prescribe it. And everyone in the Bravoverse will keep lining up.
Partnerships are 50/50
Sweet Tea and Dr. G went back to the doctors to discuss surgery. She was having major back pain and it was due to her endometriosis. The doctor showed them how large her fibroids were and the need for surgery if she wanted to try and get pregnant. Sweet Tea wasn’t happy with the six month healing time. But Dr. G was on board and reminded her that her health came first.
Toya, Eugene, and their sons met with the orthodontist. While they waited to see the doctor, their son Ashton schooled both parents. Toya brought up that Ashton said girls didn’t like smart kids, they liked jocks. To which he promptly replied no one says “jocks” anymore, Mom! Eugene said he played sports, and Ashton said his dad played track and got lucky. Ouch! No doubt Ashton will be on the debate team in high school.
Eugene also brought up that he and Toya were fifty / fifty in their relationship. Which meant that she needed to take him out on date next. Toya wasn’t on board and really wanted a do over from the butcher shop. She wondered when the kids moved out would they have anything in common. Eugene laughed, but there was trouble in paradise for the two.
Shaken, not stirred
Simone and Cecil popped the champs and threw the confetti. Their sons were officially out of the house and adulting in their new condo. They paid the boys a visit and were welcomed with a home cooked meal of jambalaya. Simone also brought a pillow with the phrase “call your mom” printed it on it. Which is always a good reminder. They were proud of this step in their sons lives, and were looking forward to see them graduate college next.
It was guys night at the cigar bar. The topic of discussion was if a martini was a man’s drink. Ever heard of James Bond? Dr. Kema got himself in the hot seat when he proudly claimed he was the head of the household and was not about to get his nuts chopped off. Dr. Damon wondered if that meant Kema thought that they weren’t men. Kema denied that, and claimed it was just how he was raised. Damon correctly asserted that if you are the king of the castle, you don’t have to say it.
On the other side of town, Jackie was filming a PSA on maternity mortality. She was in the directors chair and knew exactly what she wanted. All she needed was a beret and mega phone. Heavenly struggled to get her lines right. Simone wondered why it was so easy for Heavenly to talk crap in front of her camera for social media, but she was having a hard time here. Nevertheless it made for a good blooper reel. After everyone practiced their lines, they finished filming. And that was a wrap for the MTM crew!
Married To Medicine continues Sundays at 9/8c on Bravo.
