The Southern Charm reunion didn’t quite things wrap things up as sweetly as southern iced tea. Perhaps viewers were hoping for a reconciliation between Taylor Ann Green and Olivia Flowers. Or maybe that Shep Rose’s ex-girlfriend would make amends with the other female cast members that were disappointed by her behavior in Season 9. Austen Kroll and JT Thomas certainly didn’t move on from their fight on the finale.
But the relationship that fans were most interested in was the friendship between Taylor and Olivia. Or lack thereof, now. But Austen’s ex-flame was steadfast in her decision that she would not be forgiving her former bestie for making out with him, then concealing the truth from her. And it was the conversation that Olivia overheard in Jamaica that was the final straw.
Olivia “really tried” with Taylor
“I’ve been pulling away because we had had so many conversations that were going so wrong,” Olivia explained at the reunion. “She was lying to my face and I felt it. And Austen stepped in at a time where I was very vulnerable and broke in and I bonded with him and there were unresolved feelings there.”
Andy Cohen questioned whether Olivia was holding Austen and Taylor to the same standard of accountability, given that she did spend time with her ex after she found out that he hooked up with Taylor.
“I do understand how it looks like I’m giving passes,” Olivia admitted. “But I really tried with Taylor, and it didn’t get me anywhere.”
Addressing her former friend directly, Olivia concluded, “You were not thinking about me not once this season.”
