Well, Below Deck Mediterranean Season 8 has finally come to an end, much to the relief of several viewers. The drama between Kyle Viljoen, Natalya Scudder, and Tumi Mhlongo made the season practically unbearable for most folks.
Even with the distaste toward Captain Sandy Yawn, it felt rather cathartic when she went off on Kyle for being the common denominator in all the ship’s intense spats. It’s hard to say who was the most relieved to get away from Kyle and Natalya.
Tumi, of course, might be one of the biggest contenders. Considering Tumi assumed that Kyle was gunning for her job, she must’ve been happy to get away from him. She was all too prepared to share her thoughts on her Season 8 crewmates.
Captain Sandy calls Natalya “the best organizer”
On last night’s episode of Watch What Happens Live, a fan called in to ask Tumi what she thought of Kyle’s apology to Natalya, as well as if she thought the two could ever work together successfully again. “They should never work together again,” Tumi said flatly. “Ever.” An awkward moment of silence lingered as Tumi gestured with her hands.
“We’re not doing that,” she added. Andy Cohen then jumped in to ask Captain Sandy a question. “What were your intentions bringing up to Kyle that you missed having Natalya on the boat?” Sandy responded, “The place was a mess. I was being honest. You have to admit, she is the best organizer on the planet.”
Tumi responded with a bit of a backhanded compliment, saying, “In the laundry room, yeah,” acknowledging only a portion of Natalya’s skills. Still, objectively, almost anyone could agree with Tumi’s assessment that Kyle and Natalya should not be put in the same boat again. In fact, if fans had it their way, they’d probably never want to see Kyle ever again.
