Southern Charm star Olivia Flowers was forced to confront the unimaginable. During filming for Season 9, her beloved brother, Conner Flowers, died. On January 30, 2023, Conner passed away unexpectedly at his home. Somehow, Olivia continued to film as she weathered the tragic loss.
But there was more tragedy to follow. In 2023, Olivia’s former friend, Taylor Ann Green, faced the loss of her brother, Richard “Worth” Worthington. What made it even more tragic was that Olivia and Taylor’s friendship was blown apart. Special thanks to Austen Kroll for all that you do. In this case, Austen and Taylor’s alleged hook-up broke up the ladies’ friendship.
Olivia reveals how her family is coping after brother’s passing
During the second part of the Southern Charm reunion, Olivia opened up about the upcoming first anniversary of Conner’s death. “My parents are just trying to get through, figure out their new reality,” Olivia said through her tears. She also thanked her co-stars for all their support. “Everyone stepped up and we really appreciate that.”
Austen, who lost his sister in 1994, also tried to be there for his ex, Olivia. “Considering where we had been up until that point, it was nice to know that even for a moment that we could put it all aside,” Olivia said.
Then Olivia addressed Taylor. “My heart breaks for you every single day for what you and your family are going through, honestly. I’m more sad that I couldn’t be there for you in the way that, it’s kind of crazy, I can because I know what you’re feeling,” Olivia explained. “That has been sad to me but I don’t ever wish bad on you. I hated this for you.”
Sadly, Taylor and Olivia weren’t able to support each other in the same way due to the Austen of it all. But hopefully, they could give each other some grace as they both navigate their loss.
