Does Teresa Giudice have a problem with how The Real Housewives of New Jersey cameras frame her? For all of Bravo’s faults, one thing is almost certain – their editors do a fantastic job.
The editing on a Bravo show can often make up for the shortcomings of the cast, whether in humor or drama. Of course, that power can work against the stars. Until a season is off the cutting room floor, a Housewife has no idea how they might be portrayed.
Teresa has been in the business long enough to know this better than anybody. With 13 seasons of RHONJ under her belt (and an upcoming Season 14), she’s seen the best and the worst of the edits. So, after all these years, what are her thoughts on post-production?
Teresa initially didn’t watch RHONJ
During her appearance on the Hollywood Raw podcast, Teresa discussed how she felt regarding the final edits of RHONJ. “It didn’t bother me for so long ’cause I used to not watch my show,” she expressed. “The past few years I’ve been watching the show … and I mean it is what it is.”
She added, “You can’t fight with your boss so you just accept it.” Indeed, one can only imagine the contractual bindings that come with being in front of the cameras on a Bravo show. Housewives fans have seen plenty of that in the past few months, with the likes of Larsa Pippen expressing her distaste with how the edit framed her on RHOM Season 6.
Larsa was so bold as to contact one of the producers by phone and ask him what was going on. Teresa, however, has learned it’s better to prevent any potential issues rather than futilely attempt to argue after the edit has been completed. She explained, “You just gotta think before you talk and make sure like your point gets across the right way.”
As for how the Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 14 edit might portray Teresa? Well, fans will just have to wait and see whether or not she could take her own advice.
