There’s no more hiding it — Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky have hit a turbulent patch in their marriage. They haven’t used the “d” word yet, but there was no way they could hide their marital woes from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cameras. Kyle and her daughter Sophia Umansky recently opened up about navigating this rough patch, and their method is simple. Take it one day at a time.

Kyle and Sophia spoke with E! News about their household’s sudden lack of stability. Obviously, it’s hard to deal with marital issues, but they both said it’s even worse when you have to share it with the world through RHOBH. Kyle isn’t new to this, but that doesn’t make it any easier for her and Sophia.
While Kyle admitted that she and Mauricio are in a rough spot in their marriage, she clarified that things aren’t chaotic at home. She said her girls never grew up fighting in the house, and that hasn’t changed.
“We’re just taking it a day at a time, and we still live in the same house and get along” Kyle shared. Sophia agreed but added it’s rough when “there’s so much going on at home.”
Sophia continued, “This is already a lot to process in itself and to have the whole world talking about is a lot. I am grateful for everything that my mom being in the spotlight has brought into our lives, but right now, it’s tough.”
Throughout the dramatic chapter in the Richards-Umansky household, Sophia has kept herself distracted by filming Season 2 of Buying Beverly Hills. She and Kyle also just made an appearance on Fox’s new show We Are Family.
Kyle said that filming We Are Family gave her and Sophia a chance to have some much-needed mother-daughter time while stepping outside of their comfort zone. That’s the perfect distraction as they take things one day at a time.
