Things got heated between Dr. Simone and Dr. Heavenly in Married to Medicine Season 10, Episode 11! Previously, the birds left the nest for Simone and Heavenly, and Dr. Kema got himself in hot water with the guys when he implied they were missing their balls. Uh oh. This week, Simone made a blunder that could impact her relationships with both Jackie and Heavenly. Phaedra also made it known she was single and ready to mingle! Here’s everything you need to know about Married to Medicine Season 10, Episode 11: “Not Phaedra’s Type.”
Eugene finally gets it right
Dr. Eugene decided a do over was needed after the butcher shop date with Toya wasn’t a big hit. So he took her to a flower shop where they learned how to make a flower arrangement. And this time he got it right. Toya was thrilled this date was geared towards her tastes. She realized she needed to lay off the criticism after Simone had told her Eugene thought she was hard to please. Eugene joked that she was hard to be married to, but the two vowed to make it work.
Later that evening, Dr. Damon and Heavenly held a medical mixer. Heavenly was dressed in what looked like a sparkly ice skater costume. Simone assumed this meant Phaedra had dressed her. Surprisingly, Phaedra arrived glitter free. She was single and ready to mingle, but had already attracted unwanted attention from an older man. To which the group, minus Sweet Tea of course, decided she needed to stick with younger men. Could she find love at this event?
Alicia stands up for her king
As Damon got up to give a speech, Heavenly promptly swiped the microphone and asked if there were any single people for Phaedra. Simone’s mouth was on the floor. Phaedra was a lawyer, not someone to be auctioned off. But Phaedra took it in stride, she was a first round draft pick after all. No real winners stepped forward, so it was time for the group to grab some cocktails and catch up.
The topic of Kema came up. Alicia admitted Kema had a new appreciation for her after he had to take care of the kids when she went to Napa. However, Simone and Toya wondered if she knew the tea he spilled on guys night. Namely, American women were too independent and the men had the balls cut off. Alicia was well aware of her king and his ways. And she didn’t appreciate the women mocking her respect for her husband. She told Toya he was opinionated just like her. Oop. This was not going to sit well.
But before things could escalate further, Simone announced to the group they would all be taking a couples trip to Hilton Head, South Carolina. Everyone’s eyes popped out of their heads. This was the place where Dr. Jackie’s husband Curtis had an affair. And Simone didn’t seem to have a clue to connect the two together.
Never return to the scene of the crime
Heavenly immediately asked Simone if she had talked with Jackie prior to booking the trip. Simone felt like a fool as the Jackie and Curtis drama hadn’t even crossed her mind. When Heavenly reminded Simone to be more compassionate with people, Sweet Tea almost spit out her drink. Jackie didn’t think Simone was malicious but told her she had no plans on going. As Phaedra said, you never return to the scene of the crime.
Even though Jackie was adamant about not going, she soon changed her mind when she talked with Curtis. She reasoned it would be fun to celebrate with new and old friends. Curtis responded with a thanks but no thanks. He did not want the trip to become about them. They were in a good place and he wanted to keep it that way. Jackie pushed for them to go, but Curtis wouldn’t commit to it just yet.
Phaedra knows how to party
It was nothing but the best for Phaedra’s son Ayden’s 13th birthday party. Food trucks, games, DJs, and an entrance with fireworks were involved. Everyone was impressed. Toya announced this was her kind of party and quickly sent pictures to Eugene. Sweet Tea envisioned this for her future children and couldn’t wait. Meanwhile Simone, Cecil, and Heavenly were happy their kids were gone and the birthday party nonsense was over.
Kema and Dr. G bonded over bringing home the bacon and having the wives take care of the household. Looks like Kema now had another ally other than Alicia. Cecil’s brother David had come to pay a visit, and eagle-eyed Heavenly noticed that he wasn’t wearing his ring. When David circled around Phaedra, Heavenly shouted he’s married and shooed him away. Somewhere David’s wife was thanking her. Then it was time to get to business regarding the Hilton Head trip.
Headed for disaster in Hilton Head
After Phaedra’s son gave a heart warming speech thanking his mother, it was time for Heavenly to spring into action. Luckily, Jackie arrived to play referee between the two. Heavenly could not get over the fact that Simone planned this event with no regard to Jackie’s feelings. Simone apologized, as to which Heavenly said thank you instead of Jackie. Still, the fighting continued with Simone shouting she knew things about Heavenly.
Jackie interrupted and said she wasn’t going to Hilton Head if Curtis didn’t want to go. And right now he was not on board. She added that certain friends in the group, ahem Toya, would be sure to bring up their drama and she and Curtis did not want the trip to be focused on them. Unfortunately for her, all the drama she and Curtis are causing about not coming is going to make the issue even bigger if they do decide to come.
And then we got a sneak peak into that drama as we flash forward to 24 hours later. Heavenly and Simone are still at each others throats, Jackie and Curtis arrived, and Sweet Tea had it out for Jackie. I hope the city of Hilton Head is ready!
