It’s nice to have a hit show and all, but Ariana Madix is now a hit on Broadway. Instead of Bravo, we’re saying “Brava!” because Miss Thing did the thing and all eyes are on the girl formerly known as the bartender from Vanderpump Rules.
Sorry, Ariana deserves all the credit here. By all means, see her as a villain in Season 11, all she’ll be seeing is success. A dream came true last night for one of our own and it’s great to see someone making things happen instead of turning into a whining pile of mush. She broke a leg, and then some. People has the scoop.
It was ALL of the jazz …
Ariana did Bob Fosse proud and the hand choreography was doing the work. Lots of media covered the Broadway debut of Ms. Madix but the best part might have been how obviously excited she was.
And guess who showed up on Ariana’s opening night? Yep, good ‘ol Lala Kent and Scheana Shay. Perhaps Lala will comment on why she has never experienced someone who gets cheated on and suddenly becomes a Broadway star. Maybe later Scheana can go sit with the person who treated Ariana the worst during rehearsals.
At any rate, it was nice to see Ari getting support. Daniel Wai was also there with his Burberry scarf looking like the boyfriend of a theater girl and we love to see it. Along with Daniel, was Ariana’s mom and I can only imagine (as a mom myself) what it must feel like to watch your child get their one big wish.
A dream come true!
For the Pump Rules star, the stage has always been in the cards. Before sharing her life on VPR, Ari was a musical theater student at Flagler College in Florida. She moved to NYC once she graduated and went on the audition stroll. Bartending paid the bills and she eventually moved out to LA to give it a shot on the West Coast.
Obviously she was hired at Villa Blanca and rotated out to SUR and we all know what happened from there. Roughly ten years later, she was cheated on and it all went down on national television. A year out from her life falling apart, she’s on Broadway. This is how you navigate a break-up, my friends. She said, “To say this is a fulfillment of a lifelong dream would be an understatement. This is quite literally everything to me. It’s all I’ve ever wanted. And to be here now, having this full-circle moment … I feel so beyond grateful.”
Congratulations to Ariana and oh by the way, Vanderpump Rules returns for Season 11 TONIGHT, January 30 at 8 PM/ET on Bravo.
