Below Deck Season 11 returns tonight with a brand new captain at the helm. Captain Kerry Titheradge from Below Deck Adventure was chosen to replace the beloved Captain Lee Rosbach, who was with the series since it premiered.
As always with a new captain, there is a learning curve for the crew. Some are not green to the industry. In fact, chief stew Fraser Olender and lead deckhand Ben Willoughby are back and both agree that Captain Kerry runs an even tighter ship than Lee. That’s quite a standard.
The result? Tons of firings in Season 11, the duo teased during a recent interview.
Fraser teases “significant turnover”
“There’s a significant turnover this year,” the chief stew revealed to E! News ahead of the Season 11 premiere. “I don’t go anywhere though, so thank God for that.”
Fraser knows how to keep focus on work, no matter what drama is going on around him. He proved himself well enough during Season 10, which saw the firing of not one, but two of his interior crew. Camille Lamb was let go after proving herself completely inept at her job and unable to absorb criticism. And Captain Sandy Yawn fired Alissa Humber after she disrespected her position.
But these are relatively few firings as compared to the following season. Deckhand Ben said as much to the news publication.
“You’re probably gonna see more than Season 10,” the Australian native teased.
Luckily, there are some returning crew that may be less inclined to falter at basic instructions. Ben teased a few seasoned crew included in the Season 11 cast other than himself and Fraser.
“You’re in for seeing a few more familiar faces,” the Bravolebrity added. “One a little bit more familiar than you would expect. But I’ll leave that for you guys to decipher.”
Well, fans don’t have long to wait to see who these mystery persons are.
