Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist have their Valentine’s Day plans ready to go, and they want fans to be able to participate with them. The couple seems happier than ever after their televised wedding a month ago on January 4. But that doesn’t mean it’s always been fun and games.
Fans almost certainly recall the journey that Gerry and Theresa went on to end up together. As the first-ever Golden Bachelor, Gerry was faced with mountains of inner turmoil in his attempts to find a partner after losing his wife so many years ago. Against all odds, he and Theresa found each other and carved out a happy ending for themselves.
Unfortunately for Gerry, public opinion shifted quite a bit after The Golden Bachelor’s end, with rumors and controversies popping up about the truth behind his backstory. Gerry and Theresa still field rumors to this day, having to deny reports of a split. The two seem stronger than ever with Valentine’s Day plans already in the works.
What Gerry and Theresa love most about each other
Gerry and Theresa decided to get a jump on their Valentine’s celebrations by sharing with Bachelor Nation what they loved most about each other. “I love how kind and sensitive she is with everyone she meets,” Gerry said. Theresa shared, “I love that Gerry will always stand up for his beliefs and he is so genuine.”
But the love goes beyond words. Their love languages extend into gift-giving and acts of service. Gerry revealed he would often buy Theresa jewelry “for no reason,” and Theresa loved making late-night meals for her beau. Gerry’s favorite meal from Theresa included salmon, roasted sweet potatoes, and roasted cauliflower.
As for Valentine’s Day itself, Theresa and Gerry shared that they’d be preparing a dinner of Aloha Chicken, dropping the recipe for fans to cook along with them on the day of love.
