The pop star was 2023’s greatest sensation, proven by her Person of the Year recognition, not to mention all the Grammy wins over the weekend. The accolades just go on from there. With her notoriety, multimedia conglomerates realized they could cash in on the recognition (hence, this article).
But Swift’s success can come at the expense of others’ victories (again, look no further than the Grammys). This time, it was Lisa who got caught in the crossfire. See how the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum reacted to her lost opportunity.
How Rinna lost a magazine cover to Travis and Taylor
On January 31, Lisa made an Instagram post showing the cover of Us Weekly’s latest “Hollywood Power Couples” issue. The cover featured Lisa seated with her husband, Harry Hamlin, promising an exclusive story with the couple inside. Unfortunately for Lisa, that wasn’t the issue’s only cover.
As the former Bravolebrity wrote in her caption, “Ok so we got the cover of @usweekly Yay! Then we got bumped by a certain Super couple named Swelce [grinning emoji] So here’s the digital cover! And the @taylorswift @killatrav one.” In all seriousness, props to Lisa for taking it in stride – at least with the public. Who’s to say how she feels personally?
Luckily for Lisa, her fans were extremely supportive. One fan reminded Lisa, “a cover is a cover hunny!!!” Another joked, “The digital cover can never be used on the bottom of a bird cage to be shit on!!❤️” to which Lisa replied, “ok that made me LOL.” Indeed, Lisa shouldn’t take it too personally. There’s no beating Taylor and Travis.
