In recent celebrity news, followers got a chance to experience what happens when superstars run into their favorite Bravolebrities. The good, the bad, and the sleepy.
Supermodel Chrissy Teigen had revealed that she and husband, crooner John Legend, gave Summer House star Carl Radke a ride home from the Sundance Film Festival. But she and the Bravolebrity have conflicting statements on what actually happened on the flight. The former Loverboy VP responded to Chrissy’s comments during a recent interview.
Carl praised the couple for a “very nice conversation”
The trio ended up on the couple’s private jet for a red-eye flight back to New York City. Yet the journey was far from riveting, as Chrissy claimed during an episode of Sirius XM’s Andy Cohen Live that Carl “immediately” fell asleep.
“It was really funny actually, because John was seated already and then Carl came on and John was still sitting, like, he didn’t pop up to give him a big hug or anything,” Chrissy told the Bravo executive producer about boarding the jet. “Carl so graciously came over. He was like, ‘Hey man, I just want to say thank you so much. I love you.’ It was so sweet.”
But the Summer House star has a different narrative, which he shared with Decider.
“To set the record straight, I was awake for about 45 minutes to an hour,” he told the news outlet. “We did have a very nice conversation. John and Chrissy are so lovely and so generous to let me, you know, ride back with them.”
John and Chrissy, asked Carl about his sobriety journey, though he “wishes” the focus was “more about Bravo stuff.”
The award-winning songwriter did ask about Carl’s friendship with Summer House co-star, Kyle Cooke. To which, the sober star replied, “John, we’re doing really well.”
Despite the attentive hosts, Carl ultimately needed some sleep. And he’s not one to keep late hours in his everyday life.
“Unfortunately, it was a red-eye flight. I’m not, like, one of those guys that stays up late and gossips until two in the morning with my girlfriends. Even though that would have been the right moment to do it,” he added.
Perhaps an afternoon flight would suit better next time.
Catch the Summer House Season 8 premiere on Thursday, February 22 at 9/8c on Bravo.
