One of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 13’s defining features has been the continued evolving relationship of Kyle Richards and Sutton Stracke. Many fans were surprised to see Sutton as such an integral part of the season.
Before Season 13 started, it seemed everything would revolve squarely around Kyle and her marital issues with Mauricio Umansky. Unexpectedly, audiences found themselves rooting against Kyle and for Sutton instead, especially as Kyle engaged in crazy mean girl behavior.
Kyle essentially facilitated rumors about Sutton’s eating and drinking habits. Despite Kyle’s behavior, Sutton ended up apologizing to her on their cast trip, expressing that she felt she hadn’t been a good friend. Last night, Sutton got the chance to reflect on her apology.
Does Kyle owe Sutton an apology?
On last night’s Watch What Happens Live, a fan wrote in to ask Sutton if Kyle had ever apologized for the things she said to or about Sutton. She responded, “You know, I don’t think that I’m looking for an apology. For me, it was just about apologizing to her because I don’t think that I was a good friend.”
She continued, “And, you know, I don’t need an apology.” Shockingly mature response. As a follow-up, Andy Cohen asked how Sutton felt about Kyle’s unwillingness to share details about her marriage with the group. “I wish that Kyle had been more open with us,” Sutton admitted.
“Personally, I was very open with a lot of my feelings this season and I kind of expected her to be more open with all of us.” Indeed, perhaps everyone – viewers and Housewives alike – wishes Kyle would be more open. With the Season 13 reunion beginning at this month’s end, it feels like there’s a lot that still needs to be discussed. Hopefully, Andy asked all the right questions.
Until then, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 13 continues Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
