Season 13 of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has not been kind to the rookie, Annemarie Wiley. In all honesty, she did come in like a bull in a China shop, making sure to squash anyone’s opinions. Sadly, it is pretty obvious that the other women aren’t investing their time in a friendship with Annemarie. Even Kyle Richards, the 90210 star who brought her onto the series, is having doubts about her longevity. But don’t worry, guys, if you are an Annemarie fan, she has a plan for redemption, kind of.
Every Party Has a Pooper
Recently, Annemarie shared a Happy Birthday post meant for Crystal Kung Minkoff, which left me thinking, “Are these two even friends?” This entire season of RHOBH has been about the two mothers butting heads over semantics and professions. Annemarie received so much backlash that I think she had to figure out a way to stop the spiraling. Crystal posted a few top shout-outs in her Instagram Stories, but Annemarie’s was not one of them.
Annemarie Is Cool as a Cucumber
After Crystal’s health scare in Spain, the nurse anesthetist seems to be in total damage control. It can’t be argued that Annemarie definitely stepped up in her frenemy’s time of need, but it feels like she may be milking the moment. Annemarie posted a photo of herself holding Crystal while she was recovering in her bed. Below the photo she wrote, “We may have gotten off to a rocky start, and we haven’t always seen eye to eye, but we’ll always be there for each other when it matters most ❤️??? Never forget what’s most important ❤”
While it was nice for a friend to share words of support, the post seemed disingenuous for Annemarie. It almost felt that Annemarie was looking for validation for her action. We all know she did the right thing by helping out in a medical emergency. What more did she want? A shiny Lisa Frank sticker?
Annemarie Seems Humble
During a Watch What Happens Live episode, Annemarie was asked about the medical incident where she humbly noted she “was honored Crystal felt she could be vulnerable with me, and I was so happy that I could be there for her.” There wasn’t one mention of their constant bickering, making me wonder, “Will the real Annemarie please stand up.” I can’t kick the feeling that Annemarie is trying to garner as much sympathy as she can from the Bravo audience.
Annemarie Admits RHOBH Has Been a Hard Road
Annemarie recently spoke out to Us Weekly regarding how hard it has been to enter the fray on RHOBH. As every Real Housewives star knows, the hardest part about the job is the trolls. Annemarie shared, “I know who I am as a person, and I am somebody who prides myself on being a kind and caring and fun and giving person. So, for people to have a completely different perspective of me, I take it very seriously.”
During the interview, Annemarie tried to explain how much the backlash “hurt” her. But it didn’t go unnoticed that she tried to deflect from her part in the fallouts, noting she wished she had a “bit more support” from her co-stars. Annemarie stated, “I think there are some things that I’m dealing with that others have also had to deal with. So it is always easier when you’re having to go through something publicly when you have others kind of rally around you. So, I think in that regard, it would definitely make it easier.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 13 is almost a wrap, with little time left for Annemarie to save herself from being a one-season housewife. I’m still up in the air whether or not I’d want to see her back, but we are constantly talking about her, and isn’t that the whole purpose?
