Lisa Barlow Suspected Monica Garcia of ‘Recording’ Their Phone Calls

Season 4 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City ended with the reveal that newbie Monica Garcia was part of the troll account, Reality Von Tease. Monica claimed that the account was created to bring down her former boss, Jen Shah. And the ladies were “collateral damage.” The account allegedly posted false, and damaging, information about the RHOSLC cast. But one cast member, Lisa Barlow, felt that Monica was sketchy from the jump.

After there was no resolution with Monica during the show’s reunion, she was let go. Monica felt that was a huge mistake. Of course she did.

Lisa didn’t trust Monica at all

Lisa told Distractify that Monica made more “derogatory” comments that never made it on the show. She added that she received a “nice edit.” Lisa also shared that one of Monica’s biggest “red flags” was her insistence on seeing Jen. Even after Monica claimed that she didn’t like her.

“The first time we talked on the phone, I asked her if she was recording me. And it’s just a hard situation when you’re already in a fishbowl, and everybody’s watching everything you’re doing, and everything’s up for subjective thought,” Lisa explained.

“To have to worry about someone recording your conversations or driving by your house, or you know, not giving you a break. We never got a break, and we never got to move on as a cast.” Well, Monica was reportedly known for driving by Jen’s house. That’s not creepy at all.

Lisa shared that if Monica had owned up to what she did with Reality Von Tease, the cast may have been a bit more forgiving. “It was kind of hard because I’m like you lead with deceit. Like you pretend to be an open book,” Lisa said. “You are like, ‘Oh, I’m gonna tell the world what I want them to know what I think they’re gonna find out anyway,’ but she kept the real stuff to herself.”

Well, the cast won’t have to deal with Monica in Season 5, so let’s hope that they find a way to keep the drama flowing.
