Okay, I know there’s a lot of talk about what’s going on with the Real Housewives of Atlanta cast. Kandi Burruss is out and Porsha Williams Guobadia is back in. But what about the rest of the ensemble?
People are looking for Phaedra Parks to make a comeback, and Shereé Whitfield’s future athleisurewear line might be hanging in the balance. Of course, NeNe Leakes’ name has been dropped into the mix. Perhaps people have a short memory or have been living under a rock because NeNe destroyed her chances with a Bravo return a couple of years ago. Don’t count on her showing up for Season 16 – or ever. TMZ has the details.
The door is closed
Die-hard NeNe fans were hoping that an RHOA reboot would have NeNe returning to her old stomping grounds. Unfortunately for them, they’ll have to keep hoping because Bravo doesn’t work that way. See, you can be racially insensitive, fired, and Bravo will give you another show. Or you can even allude to one cast member allegedly committing sexual assault on another, and Bravo will put you on another show.
BUT, if you say bad things about Andy Cohen or the network, Bravo will be done. And that’s basically what happened with NeNe. Insiders are now confirming you might have a better chance at winning the lottery than seeing NeNe on RHOA again.
After BravoCon 2023 when Andy said something generic about NeNe, it gave fans hope of a reconciliation. However, once you file suit against a network, call the face of the network a racist, and allude to drug issues, there’s not of damage control that can fix it.
There were no calls to NeNe and she allegedly wasn’t even considered in the running to be brought back. This didn’t stop fans from reaching out to Andy and Bravo pretty much begging them to open the door but y’all, that door is closed.
