On The Real Housewives of Potomac, Grand Dame Karen Huger is known for sending unusual invitations to her events. Whether it’s a box of moths or a video invitation sitting on a throne, you know she’ll will go over the top. However, in Season 8 of RHOP when it was time to invite her friends to Surry County, the invitation was less grand and more shady.
Originally, Karen only invited a small chunk of the cast to accompany her to Surry County. Then, at the last minute, she extended an invitation to the full cast. Karen had the nerve to get mad when the second-string ladies didn’t drop everything to go on the trip. Now, Karen claims that there’s more to the story.
Karen has some explaining to do at the Potomac reunion
Karen was on Watch What Happens Live when she got confronted about her shady invitation to Surry County. Allegedly, we’ll find out more at the reunion. It’s not like there will be much else for them to talk about.
Karen teased, “There’s more to that, but we’ll talk about it at the reunion.”
On the show, Karen already shared a flimsy excuse for why she had to send out two separate invitations. She claimed that there was an issue with her liability insurance at the farmhouse that prevented her from bringing the full RHOP crew. Later, she said she was able to work it out with her insurance company to invite everyone. Seriously, who’s buying that story?
Coincidentally, the second-string invitation came after Gizelle Bryant opted not to attend the trip to Surry. The other ladies theorized that Karen only sent the second invitation because she was scrambling for more people to join the trip. That sounds more likely than an issue with liability insurance. Either way, we look forward to Karen shedding more light on the situation at the Season 8 reunion.
