When The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills power couple Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky announced their separation, it was a surprise. Kyle made it clear that she was in a phase of self-discovery, and that she needed space. Let’s face it, if your husband doesn’t notice a new tattoo on your body, it’s time to send up the bat signal.
The duo entered therapy, but Kyle expected to become a priority in her husband’s life. All his attention is focused on his successful real estate company, The Agency. She made it clear in her RHOBH confessionals that she wanted more. But I’m not sure her next move is going to help.
Mauricio gives three of their daughters some shocking news
In a preview of Mauricio’s Netflix series, Buying Beverly Hills, he discussed the state of their marriage with their three eldest daughters. “I had an amazing 26 years with your mom – an amazing 26 years. I wanted to do everything possible to just save it,” Mauricio stated.
He shared that Kyle had said to him, “‘I think I need space.’” Mauricio continued, “She said to me, ‘Listen, the rules are that, you know, you go out, you date, you do whatever it is that you wanna do. Like, I’m not going to be asking you what you’re doing. I don’t want you to be asking me what I’m doing. Like, we are separated.'”
Mauricio wanted “some time and a clear head,” so he planned to spend some time in Aspen, Colorado. “It’s so weird to even be having these conversations,” Farrah Aldjufrie stated.
Sophia Umansky cried and explained how they “only even found out that there was any issues just a few months ago and now it just is like, things change so quickly.” And these changes certainly don’t point towards a reconciliation. “I’m sorry we’re all going through this. I’m sorry for all of us,” Alexia Umansky said.
Kyle reveals her feelings about her marriage to Mauricio
Meanwhile, Kyle recently shared the status of the couple’s marriage. “We’re very good friends. We always were, even as a married couple. We live in the same house, we are family – we’re doing good, considering,” Kyle explained. “I never thought we would be in [this] situation. To be getting along like this, having dinner … together, but not together.”
Well, there is still a chance that Mauricio and Kyle will work it out.
The finale of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Wednesday, February 21 at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo. Season 2 of Buying Beverly Hills premieres March 22 on Netflix.
