Vanderpump Rules star Brock Davies has just made a grand gesture of love (or strategy, depending on how you look at it) by giving his wife, Scheana Shay, the full reins to their swanky new $2.5 million pad in Sherman Oaks.
According to the U.S. Sun, the duo decided it was time to upgrade less than a year after Scheana splashed out on a cool $1.2 million townhouse in Marina Del Rey. Their latest love nest boasts five bedrooms, five baths, and a sprawling 3,800 square feet of pure luxury.
Scheana didn’t play around, securing a $1,999,999 30-year mortgage for a house that closed at $2,535,000. Talk about making moves!
Is Scheana’s new home move something more?
Here’s where it gets interesting. On January 18, 2024, the deed gets done, and just a few days later, Brock signs over his rights to the home. The paperwork, known as the Interspousal Transfer Grant Deed, officially makes the property Scheana’s alone.
Now, before you start thinking Brock’s just being a generous hubby, it might be more than that. According to The Sun, this move might have more to do with legal strategy than marital bliss.
This document, more commonly a part of divorce proceedings, could imply the couple is either planning for a possible split or, on a less dramatic note, strategizing for bankruptcy. Hopefully, it’s neither. But it’s certainly possible.
It’s like a quitclaim deed but for married folks. Usually, it’s part of a divorce agreement, but it might be a move to safeguard against bankruptcy, allowing the non-house-owning spouse to file for bankruptcy to “get rid of debt.”
While it’s all speculation at this point, one thing’s for sure: Scheana and Brock are keeping us on our toes, wondering if this is a tale of true love and trust or a clever financial play.
