Chelsea Blackwell from Season 6 of Love Is Blind reached out to Megan Fox amid recent controversy, hoping to smooth things over.
The flight attendant evoked strong reactions from the show’s audience when a conversation she had with her partner, Jimmy Presnell, about their looks aired on television. After discussing their celebrity lookalikes, Jimmy likened himself to NFL running-back Christian McCaffery, while Chelsea said she often gets compared to the actress Megan Fox.
“I don’t see it, so don’t get excited,” Chelsea told Jimmy. “It’s just because I have dark hair and blue eyes.” Since then, Chelsea has spoken out about the passionate response from viewers and said she messaged the A-lister to apologize. Is it just us, or is this getting ridiculous?
Chelsea’s apology to Megan Fox explained…
In a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, Chelsea told the publication she reached out to Megan via social media. She expressed her regret about the recent media attention. “I did reach out to her, and I was like, ‘I’m so sorry I did this to you,'” Chelsea said before saying she was “just waiting for Megan to respond.”
Chelsea’s fiancée (at the time of this article), Jimmy, also shared his beliefs about the controversy. He said that he didn’t remember it being as dramatic as it’s been made out to be.
“I don’t remember the Megan Fox comments being that big of a deal,” he said. “I mean, obviously, my ears or my eyes perked up a lot when she said Megan Fox … But, God, I would have done everything to have that moment back.”
The LIB contestant added further that talking about looks defeated the purpose of the experiment.
“That wasn’t why we were there, and I mean, I don’t remember it being that much about looks when I went through it, but reliving it, it seems to be a lot about looks. So it’s a lot of heat from it.”
