We had a dramatic finale with Married to Medicine Season 10, Episode 14! Last week, Sweet Tea and Dr. Jackie made amends during their Hilton Head trip. However, things heated up when Toya put Dr. Alicia in the hot seat for supporting her husband’s not-so-modern views. This week, Toya ruffled some feathers by donating wine instead of cash, and Quad crashed another party. Here’s everything you need to know about Married to Medicine Season 10, Episode 14: “The Med Gala.”
The case of the missing money
The group vacation was still going strong at Hilton Head. The previous night, Dr. Simone had everyone play a game where they shared their feelings about their partner. That’s when Dr. Kema spilled the beans that Alicia couldn’t account for $150,000. So now it was up to Dr. Heavenly, Jackie, and Simone to crack the case.
Alicia put on her best confused face and told the ladies she had no idea where it went. She pondered maybe it went to the kids? Jackie advised she always have her own account. Heavenly also shared Alicia’s views on treating her man like a king, but said it’s ok to have others do the work for her. Now maybe that’s where the missing money went! Dry cleaning is expensive.
Dinner and disco
The group put on their best silver sparkly outfits for their disco party. At dinner, a glitter-bombed table awaited them complete with a disco dance floor nearby. But no one was doing the funky chicken just yet.
Simone was thankful everyone in the group was still together after 1- years. Minus Quad, cough, cough. Jackie had done a 180 and felt the trip had brought closure to her and Curtis. Phaedra felt inspired to possibly get married again after hanging out with this crew. Simone also thanked Dr. G for coming on the trip and trusting they wouldn’t go after him and Sweet Tea. Sweet Tea coming for them wasn’t factored into her equation but it was water under the bridge now.
The mood was bright until Simone decided to bring it down with the “D” word. The smiles turned to frowns when she asked for a show of hands on who had asked their partner for a divorce. Womp, womp. Pretty much everyone’s hand was up except for Heavenly, Damon, Dr. G and Sweet Tea. And Kema did not look pleased to see Alicia with her hand held up high.
Heavenly was Team Alicia
In their confessional, Alicia and Kema shared divorce only came up one time and it was while she was pregnant. Alicia was tired of Kema asking her to cook while she had swollen ankles and needed to rest. Once she brought up divorce, Kema quickly learned how to be a team player. He noted he didn’t want to lose the kids or half his money. But he did lose $150,000, so there’s that.
Back at the table, Heavenly surprised the group when she said that Kema and Alicia inspired her the most. She said that Damon felt the same as Kema but he wasn’t as vocal. Damon agreed and said that men should be in more of a leadership role. And with that bombshell the group toasted to another 10 years of friendship. Now it was time to finally bust some moves on the dance floor!
Toya’s wine wasn’t enough
Hilton Head was dunzo and everyone was back home preparing for the first annual med gala. Jackie put together the event to celebrate the medical community, and expected all of her friends to financially contribute. Every one stepped up to the plate except for Toya. Her plan was to bring several cases of wine that she procured from KJ. This rubbed the group the wrong way, and in particular, Heavenly.
Everyone looked glamorous as they walked the red carpet and onto the step and repeat. Toya had her wine glass in hand and posed next to her Toya’s wine club sign. Everyone was enjoying the wine, but Heavenly made it known to anyone who would listen that Toya didn’t pay. The event promoter even tried to take down Toya’s sign but she put it back up. Dead.
Jackie gave a quick speech thanking everyone for being there, and then Heavenly took the mic to out Toya for being tacky and tired. Eugene tried to pull Damon aside, but Damon wanted no part of it. He knew he had to be firmly Team Heavenly. That debacle was sure to be the talk of the night … until Quad walked in.
Professional party crasher
Just like Sweet Tea’s pamper party, Quad made a big entrance crashing the med gala. She made her rounds handing out hugs and hellos like nothing had happened. After speaking with Alicia, Quad ran into Sweet Tea. She summoned Dr. G to join them and gave him a big hug and congratulations on their marriage. Cecil likened it to watching a car crash. But to Quad, it was just a regular day of causing chaos.
In her confessional, Quad said she freed herself of her marriage to Dr. G, and with that her emotions as well. She can be truly happy for him and Sweet Tea. Whether Dr. G and Sweet Tea buy that is the question. Quad then moved onto Simone. Simone filled her in on the Hilton Head trip and her fight with Heavenly. Quad shared she had to have a lot of conversations with the group to mend fences as well. Maybe try not to pop out of a casket next time?
The night wrapped up with Jackie summarizing that their relationships were like a rollercoaster. The fab five would always be there but they had room for more, and that seemed to include Quad.
Next up is the three-part reunion! Quad goes toe to toe with the group, Dr. G makes an awkward revelation that maybe he and Phaedra could have had something more, and Phaedra’s ex Apollo shows up. Get your popcorn ready!
